What's in a Tropical Storm?
When it's made by visiting Buffalonians, there's baby blood, I think.
-
The closest thing to a confirmation is he changed his twitter profile to a Sabres Logo. Other then that, I got nothin'.
Have you confirmed it's the same Rob Murphy? :)
-
Nothing confirmed here? Just a tweet? Not really that earth-shattering, but if he's going to be an assistant GM, it's pretty big news.

Uh huh........and I ate some Kale after my 3rd heart attack.....
Fish has lots of omega 3s, so good for you. And Kale.

Unless he looks truly extraordinary, even generational, I'd lean toward sending him back down. It's a rare breed of cat who can look like he belongs in the NHL at 18, and do it in a toxic atmosphere. I wanted Grigorenko to stay up, and I'm colored by that experience. He wasn't ready/expectations were too high/his development was delayed.
Having said all that, I don't know Sam Reinhart from Sam Adams. My opinion might seem rather foolish after we see him in action.

You forgot chronic halitosis.
Dr. Karamonukian can fix that. Sic.

Ugh. Don't send someone to a SabreSpace thread for "answers."

World champions 2014, Stanley cup winner 2018 Buffalo Sabres!
Congratulations to all of our German friends, even Christian Ehrhoff.

Can his nickname please be the Jordanator?

Someone said front offices tank but coaches and players don't. I can buy that take on the front office and the players. Coach is an interesting spot. He has one foot in the front office, too. And he has one of Murray's feet in his front yard as well — for example, Murray has a say in who the assistants will be, and maybe in the spirit of tanking, he's pushing for at least one douchebag.
I would guess Nolan necessarily has to have bought into the idea of tanking, and he's going to make at least a few decisions to further the tank.

Me, too, but I get the sense it's another example of the author not writing the headline. Campbell doesn't make much of a case for the Sabres winning the Cup in five years. Just that they'll be "rebuilt" by then.
Who will they beat — the Oilers?

Just waived at my neighbor as my dog was shitting on his lawn.
Zero f#cks given.
This is how you do it, son.

Don't worry, he's a mild-mannered gentleman off the ice who turns into a madman once on it.

All right, all right; I will change the title if someone tells me how to do that.
Here, Eleven. This'll be the first and last time you can learn something from me. You should say:
Listen, douchebags, it's not my fault you can't understand a simple concept. I could change the title, but I'm not going to. #zero######sgiven

How about some of us meet every four weeks and another committee meets monthly. Some can just randomly drop in whenever they feel like it.
If meetings get canceled, should we worry?
-
Thanks. I'm part of the Tamp-in coalition now.
Let's meet monthly?

....I love Mozart! He was Austrian, you know. But for this kind of work, I find him a little bit light. So I tend to go with the heavier guys. Check out Brahms, he's good too.
Did Mozart have a Vanek Face?
-
very nice.
They both toitled.

I happened to be in Cleveland today. When I got to the Cleveland Clinic, I overheard someone say they had made an announcement about LeBron over the P.A. system, and people cheered. Pretty cool. That's what it will be like when Patrick Kane returns to Buffalo. Right?
-
Oh, it's a Friday night throwdown! Crusader looking to make a name for him/herself against one of the true titans of SabreSpace! Imma make popcorn.

You remember correctly. Those 59 seconds took about five minutes.
One of the best rule changes ever, IMO, was getting rid of that ability to freeze the puck and stop play.
Whatever happened to the quick faceoff deal they tried a few seasons ago? It seems to have gone away.
-
I'm with nfreeman and Smell. This isn't working as a "I don't care about this or that" thread.
Sue Ellen MIschke. She gave no ######.

Hey, at least I can catch the final 59 seconds--thanks!
IIRC, there were quite a few stoppages in the last minute. If the puck was anywhere near skates along the boards in those days and wasn't moving, whistle. I distinctly recall thinking it wasn't too late for a comeback. Just get one, and with 11 seconds left... plenty of time. That little kid is still waiting to have his faith rewarded.
7-11-14.
Have a good one.
Brilliant!
