I love this guy more and more with every press conference.
That's great, for now. Will we love this guy more and more with every season?

Sylvester is awful(the stupid non-stop laugh), and Peters is just embarrassing. The loyalty to these two clowns by Ted Black is mind boggling.
I don't think it's about talent or serving the fans for Ted. See Dunleavy, Dan.

who gives a ###### about his contract right now. He will call whatever number of games he wishes to for as long as he can get in front of his microphone.
Kick cancer's ass RJ!
smh. Let's substitute the word "future" for "contract." (On the other hand, he won't "call whatever number of games he wishes to," unless that contract is revised. He's done the season after next.)
-
Might as well be optimistic. When Rick full recovers, what does it mean for his contract? It's pretty tough right now to imagine that he'll do all scheduled games this season — or even any. Would they extend his contract one more year to make up for lost time?

The roller coaster of fandom. Sigh...

I don't know, but it will be a great day to obsessageboard. I can't refresh one more page. I'm out like trout.

The most interesting general manager in the world?

Ryan looked subdued in his Canuck presser.
Makes sense from the family perspective, but I'm not sure if this is where he saw himself a few months ago.
He would look subdued on a Jet Ski.

I think after the day GMTM has had today it almost has to be Darcy. A reminder of what lurks in the shadows.
Nah. Look at the remarkable end result of Vanek for Moulson, and it's still about half Darcy's doing and half Tim's. I wanted Darcy out like everyone else, but Darcy's handprints are still on this team — Murray even acknowledged as much yesterday.
OK, lurks in the shadows. Maybe we're saying the same thing.

We can officially burn the piece of paper that has the phrase "I'm waiting for the market to set itself".
Also out: "I like our team."

McCormick is a decent penalty killer, a guy who will play the body, a fighter who will go with just about anyone, and a decent skater. I would take him over Scott or Ellis any day of the week. For the 2nd season in a row where it may become a challenge to drag myself to the FNC come January, February & March, his style of play is a welcome addition.
Well said. He's hockey player-ish. It would actually be fun to look back at his youth hockey days. He might have been pretty awesome. How do these guys end up as fighters?

Remember when nfreeman lost the election bet and I made him use Obama holding the Cup as his avatar? The other half of the bet is that he would have to moderate the board for one year.

Put some cream on it and get back in the game!
TWSS.

nfreeman is looking through his desk drawer — not a pin to be found. Now he's crying.

One precious pick gone. Interesting.

Leino, pimpin aint easy
and yes Derek Roy was one of his b*tches
Leino looks like one of Michonne's ######, actually.

The strip made me burn myself with a Winston.

I say we have a flash mob of sorts — a flash post! — at 11 a.m. Let's rattle The Man's chain. I'm going full Weiner myself.

You can double down on the squash - find a good pumpkin sauce to replace the tomato sauce.
I make a butternut squash soup — it's got cream cheese in it and turns out pretty thick because I also add cauliflower and don't puree it. I bet that would be good over the "spaghetti." Thanks.

Hold the horses there bud. I believe the quote is adding not drafting. Big difference. He also said adding to the team and not to the organization. Also a big difference.
All he was saying was that 2 to 3 young players that they have drafted or have acquired or will draft next year will be making the team each year in the next 2 to 3 to 4 years.
Nicely parsed.

I like the last two. I got nothing. I reached down, there was nothing. I almost had something with the belt, but I didn't want to go all GoDD.

My wife tried this with us sometime over the winter. The results were the same.
There goes my award-winning idea for spaghetti squash frittata.
-
I've always wanted to try this. Shredded spaghetti squash with good sauce over it and grated cheese. Great idea. Looked great. Fell flat on the palate. I think the sauce just obliterated that nutty goodness. Best to stick with the old salt-pepper-butter accoutrement.

Here's the thing though. The Sabres were only blown out a few times all of last season. I guess that fact can be interpreted in a number of ways. My take is it's tough to tank, and the Sabres might be just enough better next season to screw their chances of getting McDavid. (Full disclosure: I thought the Sabres would be a bubble playoff team last season!)
