Sounds like a good time for "Road Trip". A few weeks back I was actually not looking forward to my annual Bills game roadtrip,(Jags game) we went anyways. It started a little slow on Saturday night and then as night went on we just let loose and it turned into a blast of a weekend, Bills game included, best road trip in a long time. My complaint, no roadtrips on my calendar now for the forseeable future...

All I need to see is they beat Ducks and SJ on the end of a 4 game roadtrip to know they are for real and playing a different brand of hockey however it should not matter if this team is serious about playing to win.

Blah, blah, blah... Just look like a hockey team that knows what your doing and win.

QFT. I also think given this teams track record that the coach should never have started the season pronouncing this sadsack collection of losers as Stanley cup ready. San last nights game it looks like this team expected the rest of the league to read their press clippings and just lay down. This team lacks chemistry, an identity and focus. I have seen tournament road teams come together on a weekend have more chemistry and purpose than these guy's. Just what is the system we are playing?(left wing lock, puck possesion, Offense first, ,,) I know one thing it definitely is not play to the current player strengths because it allows regular breakaways going the other way and has defenseman looking uncertain where they should be. How many years now has the PP been broken ? Whose responsibility is it to bring in an assistant coach than can actually help with that? (Lindy, DR, ) No we will save the money and let Lindy and the staff that have butchered it for years Google it or try and copy some team they like I guess expecting they can figure out the logic behind the plan. Last tirade point, please do not tell me they cannot trade Timmay because no one would take him, we know that. Who said he had to be traded? You want to send a message to this team? Pull a NYR's or EDM move ala Wade Redden, Sheldon Souray and waive his a$$ and put him in Portland. That will send a message..

Our puck movement on the PP is a freakin joke.

Wow they must practice that with Hossa perfect timing off the bench and pass splitting the D. IMO Myers could have laid out with his stick and possibly knocked that off Hossa, he sure would have done that last year.

Horrible play by Myers on Chi's first goal, he does not look like the same player. He had a chance to make a defensive play in his own zone and he looked tentative and then he never did anything, take the shooter or lay down and block the shot. Thats what D-men are supposed to do. I know they have the lead now but it's still a lot of hockey lets see if they can do anything with it.

I could only wish that would happen and I agree that kind of team incident could be a team unifying action like Robbie described when Schoney single handledly took on the Briuns team and served notice this team would no longer be pushed around. Alas I fear this team of gentlemen Jims doesn't have the first clue how to make something like that happen, hell over half of them do not know how to finish a check let alone that . Wishful thinking but w/o some drastic catalyst to change players and/or the system thats producing these results I think we can only expect to be re-arranging the deck chairs on this titanic. Full speed ahead it's only early plenty of time for the core to figure it out.

Fire drill at the office planned this am, have to walk down 21 flights of stairs and then several blocks in rainy weather to prove we know what to do in a disaster, said plan it to take 1-1/2 to 2 hrs. My annual Bills road trip game/weekend is this Sunday and I am pretty sure I can expect to NOT see anything resembling football and since they put that crazy border restriction in we :pirate: can't even go to the ballet w/o a passport.

I took the time with my kids to nuture a half dozen maple tree saplings to about 8-12" high and proceeded to plant them in the back yard this last Sunday late afternoon. Came back with my Boys to water them Monday night and the tops and most of the leaves have been nibbled off by deer over night.(saw the hoof prints in moist dirt around them). They left them alone when they were in the mulch beds and grwoing by the house. Damn who knew they liked replanted maple tree saplings.

Take the job but tell them you had some set vacation plans before you actually start. Then take a nice vacation and enjoy your accomplishment and then get off your lazy a$$ and start contributing to the GNP and more importantly paying that FICA tax so people like me and PA can hope to collect a modicum of what we payed in from Soical security all these years. ;) Oh and what eleven said about going back to get your masters while working because with the amount of time you will be working the higher education should help your prospects down the road. Getting used to life in the new job in the new cube farm. Why do people not care about the fact your typing, concentrating, trying to get work done. They feel compelled to include you in their conversations or act like you have been or should have been listening to them and want you to comment on whatever nonsense they've been spouting.

Well that was my silent protest for having to open a seperate thread to complain that I had nothing to complain about. ;) On a serious note, my complaint is 'sometimes life does not seem fare' and is fueled by something I found out last night. I have an old boss and friend whose first wife died very quickly (in less than 6mos) 10+ years back from breast cancer leaving him w/3 kids at the time aged 8, 7, 5. He did later meet another younger beautiful woman whom he married who took his kids as her own and they proceeded to have 2 more children together now aged 6 and 3. She passed away suddenly last week from an anuerysm. Widowed 2x now in a little over 10 years w/5 kids. I really got nothing I should complain about but boy life can sure seem unfare to some at times.

People who are un ashamed by their obvious atttempts to bring attention to themselves for occasions of gratitious back slapping and feined affections. :pirate: Oh and a big gratitious Happy Birthday shout out to BuffaloOhio :nana: Yes this posts for you brother.
