    we still get their 2015 1st rd pick, which I believe was the most important art of the whole deal....How do you think the Blues feel right now..LOL..Gave up a couple decent prospects Chris Stewart and a 1st rd pick for a average goalie a Ratt and a first rd exit...Thank you very much...

    The more I think about it, the more I can't imagine a team forfeiting a top-5 pick for no immediate return if they don't have to (yea yea the trade, but you know what I mean). I'm not saying doing so would be the wrong move since I think there's a legitimate argument to be made to give it up, I just have a hard time wrapping my head around a team actually pulling the trigger on it.

     

    I agree with you...They should make the pick this year you worry about next year when it comes time..You can always make a deal as time goes on to get another first round pick if you need to...

    Run rask with gerbe..... I mean, conacher..... I mean Ennis..... I mean dags.... I mean..... Oh wait, they're basically the same.

     

    We play tough against Boston typically, however I believe the sabres have all but mailed it in... I wouldn't be surprised if Hackett leaves injured tonight and Leino goes on IR with a hang nail..... Don't poke the beahhr

    My wife always says that atleast nobody can say you jumped on the bandwagon when they get good again. I remember someone whom I barely knew say that to me in 2005 and my head almost exploded.

     

    I can start to watch every game but at some point in the first period I say to myself I cant torture myself any longer and turn the channel...Buying Alaska has received more attention this year than the Sabres unfortunatly..

    Im sayin at the end of the day Tim Murray surprises us...

     

    I think he walks away with a young top line forward or two after the day is all said and done...I think All of Myers, Erhoff, Moulson, Stewart, Mcnabb and Stafford are all in play to accomplish this...Picks are not going to be the top score for him today....Im not saying all of those for one player im sayin they are all pawns to get the King, and whichever combo gets the King is the winner.....

    I can only imagine what Tim Murray was thinking while being bombarded with questions:

     

    I cant believe I am going thru this BS when I have a million productive things I could be doing right now instead of this crap...

     

     

    The more I hear Tim Murray speak I cant help but draw comparisons to the way Jimmy Johnson from the Dallas Cowboys in the year of 1989 talked....Folks we have a GM who if he really knows Hockey Players is gonna make this team really great...He answers questions with authority and conclusion, the way he is handling every speed bump or potential one is just dead nuts on. He has taken the steam out of any future Nolan fallback for not hiring him by offering him an extension and putting the ball in Teds court. Our team is at the bottom of the barrel right now and we will be for another year but once we get thru this its gonna be a great ride i think...

    Bulldog just tweeted that he and Jeremy White will be on WGR tomorrow 9-11am to discuss the Sabres.

     

    Great the conversation will go " I ran 24 miles today",, " I cant believe Syracuse lost the ACC"

     

    Late to the party, here are my observations/reactions:

     

    1. Sabres actually seemed to be moving out of LFT status and I attributed that to PLF's relations w/ the league office. Does this put the Sabres back on double secret probation? I guess we'll find out next time Scott looks at somebody.

     

    2. If Patrick stays I am better w/ this move than if he leaves.

     

    3. As others have stated, this doesn't reflect well on Patty right now.

     

    4. If Patrick stays, I am good w/ having a hardass for the GM. He can fill in for PLF in matters between the Sabres and the league. If he goes, I still like having a hardass for GM, but begin to question whether this is the right one.

     

    5. Why do Buffalo sports ALWAYS have to come w/ such drama?

     

    Like the phantom trip the other night???lol...Lafontaine helped on that one

    He's proven that he can perform under pressure.

    Cant argue that...

     

    And to top it all off (sorry for the Miller Bashing i dont like him) he has had his 2 best yrs as a Sabre while leading up to the Olympics and his contract year..He hasnt ever stolen a Playoff series or even been the reason we won a series...However he has this mythical God like worshipping goin on that I have never quite understood. He comes across as very arrogant and condescending and I for one am glad he is getting this little slap in the face....

     

    Now watch Quick get blown up and Miller runs the table and I look like a lil whiny #itch....

     

    But I am gonna enjoy this moment....

    It was a minority saying Lindy was a bad coach. A majority were saying the team was stale and a housecleaning was needed.

    More people wanted Darcy gone than Lindy. Same for Connolly, Roy, Stafford, Hecht, Gaustad...

     

    I cant speak for anyone other than myself, so with that being said if they had fired Darcy and given Ruff the reigns I would have been more than fine with that....Didnt happen so its moot but I wouldve liked to see it playout more than what played out in reality....

    I know he can't be sent back down to Rochester. I meant the QHL which he can be sent to still.... I believe.

     

    He doesnt get any better in the OHL.....He is gonna have to learn up here or he is gonna be a bust..Unfortunately he is past the point of no return....He was a victim of Darcy never addressing the Center position and he was a roll of the dice to fix a spot....Life isnt fair some times this is one of those situations...Be a man or be a mouse at this point...

    There is a lot to write positive but as far as playoff series he wasn't close to winning another one and just barely won the first

     

    He only had two real hockey players on his team in his defense...Peca and Hasek....He got alot out of a crap team that was gutted along the same lines like this one has been...

    Except for the fact that our top pick last year with superstar potenital who is only 19. We have an already good young 2nd line center with hodgson, girgensons is doing good in the AHL. And then we also have Larsson coming up soon. And then our raw prospects at the center position include Compher, Hurley, Kea, Nelson, and Baptiste.
