Players that aren't in any NHL team's system are eligible to be drafted between the ages of 18-20. Players younger than that are ineligible to play in the NHL. Players older than that are not draft eligible but may be signed as unrestricted free agents.

Not convinced he's ahead of Lyubushkin when all are healthy if anonther D-man is brought in. He may be, but it isn't a given. Am convinced that he is ahead of Byrson and Clague right now. Hopefully he doesn't play his way out of that situation.

Well, yes, the Quinn and Peterka deals will come up at the same time and Power and Krebs come up at the same time or 1 year earlier, but there is a really good chance that they will have 3 years worth of Savoie, Kulich, and Östlund on ELC's AFTER this coming season. This year's 1st (provided Adams keeps it) will also be on an ELC at least as long as those other 3. They'll effectively only get 1 ELC year out of Johnson and Levi as well, but both will be under team control for a long time. There is plenty of stagger to the contracts. But as of next off-season, Adams will have to start moving out some talent he'd rather keep to make everything work. (But every team that is actually competing has that issue.)

Heck, he can sign today. Just if he does, he forfeits the rest of his college eligibility.

Not so sure about that. The ref isn't in the camera frame, so don't know that the arm came up after the cross check. (The whistle definiely wasn't heard prior to the Krebs retailiation.) Considering how often the Rat Faced Git gets away with that play expect there is at least as good a chance, if not better, that there would've been no call at all without the retaliation by Krebs. After Krebs took matters into his own hands, then the ref decided to take both to the box.

Yeah, couldn't understand why Stillman went sprawling across the crease to try to block the pass until seeing it again on the replay, he didn't intentionally go sprawling. And in the 1st there was one shift where the Rat Faced Git grabbed a Sabres stick twice thwarting clearing attempts both times. Amazing how much easier it is to dominate when you get away with crud like that all game long.

It seemed that rant was going to be over how incredibly bad the PK is (how in the world is ther a team that's worse at it than the Sabres?) and how simply bad the PP has been lately.

UPL deserved a much better fate this night. Hope the team's meltdown doesn't take him out of the zone he was in.

Would really like to see how this game would've turned out minus the trip on UPL. They were battling well then. But them just quitting for the final 3 minutes is frustrating.

That 2nd goal, Cozens had seen Jokiharju down low but didn't realize he'd moved over to cover the guy open in the slot. Cozens needed to stay with him as Henri wasn't where he expected him to be.
