Lindy will be the first to go -- then Darcy, eventually. But, unfortunately, Larry Quinn is a part owner and is here to stay as long Tom G. is owner. And as long as Larry Quinn has his hand in this mess, we, as fans, are totally screwed.
Who could turn this collection of underacheivers around?
Something's got to give, but I don't know who is available.
I still think the problem is larry quinn/darcy, but I also realize that it's the coach who usually faces the firing squad.
If the show is half as scary as the performance of this year's edition of the Sabres -- it's going to be a monster of a show.
By the way, my wife was a zombie extra in George Romero's Land of the Dead a few years back. She even got a credit.
You're absolutely right. It would be very sad for the scores of fans who attend Thrashers games if their franchise were to leave Atlanta. But stuff happens, and if I owned the team and saw that empty seats outnumbered paying customers by a wide margin, you can bet that I'd try to protect my investment and start looking for an exit strategy. Ultimately, sports is a business. And business owners are in it to make money, not to provide a public service.
Just started watching the game on the DVR and that's the first thing I thought of. I'm not sure Atlanta deserves a hockey team. Send 'em back to Canada.
