There is nothing wrong about the song per se, but it's a bleak portrait of song's subject from our hometown band. "See the young man sitting at the old man's bar waiting for his turn to die" is a weird-ass message after a win.

That's a weird song. It's not very uplifting, not that the GGD catalog is filled with hope and inspiration. If you are going with a GGD sing-a-long hit, Iris is the choice there.

I watched and it felt like he read an AP post-game report coupled with some chronological listing of events. I wanted my time back for that, as I already watched the game.

It's already driving me crazy. I can't get the blue line on top of the other lines, despite being first in the legend. My guess is that I just need to change the order of the lines, but I want the legend This season, last season, pace. Now it may have to be reverse so this season isn't underneath the others.

Excellent point about the disparities in roster and crowd composition. The main objection, and I apologize if this was relayed to me incorrectly, was that the players jumped on the ice, immediately skated to the blue line, and everyone was then in solitude until puck drop. So, the question put to me was "were we supposed to be a rabidly cheering crowd or a super sad, respectful one?" He thought the timing of the ceremony really put the fan in an awkward place. I'm guessing the preference was to have something earlier in the pre-game, to allow the crowd to get back into the festivities.

For the people who went, what were your thoughts regarding the tribute prior to the game? I know people who had a negative reaction to the timing. Oh. Well, party-on then.
