‘”We know the situation we’re in, and we’re just thinking about winning the game against Tampa,” defenseman Robyn Regehr said. “That’s really basically what it comes down to. Once that’s over and done with, we move on. Really, that’s all you can do to approach it.”‘

Sabres Hecht not hopeful for this season
‘“I’m doing good. Things are progressing nicely, I’m finally on the ice with the team again, I’ve been looking forward to that for awhile, still without contact, but I feel good on the ice. I just love being on the ice with the guys, kind of makes my day now.”‘
Sabres Ruff not smiling
‘Ruff seemed to be in a real foul mood after only getting two of four points. He said, “We’ve given two points away in the last two games. We did a lot of good in the game, but we didn’t win it. I thought we could’ve buried some of those odd numbered rushes, we had four cracks in the shootout to put the game away and didn’t get it done and that just falls on the shoulders that had those opportunities, you’ve got to make a difference. I need difference makers right now, I don’t need to hear about great chances or missed opportunities that put us in a bad place.”’
