Waterfront Plans Unveiled Thursday, March 9, 2006 06:09 PM - WBEN Newsroom Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - A waterfront vision could soon become reality. The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation unveiled its plans to revive the Inner Harbor, with Bass Pro as the anchor. Corporation Chairman Anthony Gioia says Bass Pro is key to the area but there's much more involved. He says there will also be retail and restaurants. Vice Chairman Larry Quinn tells Newsradio 930 WBEN "think of it as a shopping mall with Bass Pro and HSBC Arena as the anchors." Quinn says the Bass Pro deal is just about done but this will help. He also believes it will help attract new residents to the city.
