Corp000085 Posted May 29, 2006 Report Share Posted May 29, 2006 I believe too... remember the 1997 ottawa series... w e were down 3-2 also. if you're a pens fan, remember barnes scored to win game 5 in OT, 3 games to 2 sabres... things turned out allright for the penguins. IT's definitely not over, however the sabres just need to buckle down and KEEP THE FRIGGIN LEAD! They had this game in the champagne room with $50 on the table and let it slip away. It also looks like the Sabres are starting to believe that they can beat the Canes even with our patchwork lineup and I think they can too... Carolina did not have that many good scoring chances tonite, and with a few bounces the other way, we easily walk out of there with a win... Either way, htis team has nothing to hang its head about...if Carolina had the same thing happen with their defensemen as we did with ours, we would have probably swept them...
