Why does everyone want to rush prospects? Pro sports is littered with high picks being ruined by being rushed too quickly. He is a young 18 year old with less than 50 games of junior experience. Let him cook. Putting a player in the appropriate league based on their ability is not rushing them. Whether he's 18 or 22 is irrelevant if he can play in the AHL. 2 1 Quote

Let him cook. I don't see that. If Mrtka isn't challenged in juniors, what is he learning? How to play when it's easy? 1 1 Quote

Sorry @DarthEbriate. 🍺 I'll allow it, as long as his partner is Bryson. It wouldn't be the worst thing to cut those extra brews and hot dogs. 1 Quote

How to play when it's easy? You're assuming because Mrtka could hold his own in Rochester theoretically, that it means he's not being challenged in Seattle. I disagree. He can learn and develop his offense more, while also leading a team. Ultimately, this is pointless because Buffalo will do whatever but I don't think 43 whl games means he's somehow mastered the lower level because he looked fine to good in a few preseason games. Rochester has like 11 defenders on their roster. It can wait a year. Edited 2 hours ago by LGR4GM 1 1 Quote

I'm sure they are trying to decide now if the AHL would be a better place than juniors. 1 Quote
