Why does everyone want to rush prospects? Pro sports is littered with high picks being ruined by being rushed too quickly. He is a young 18 year old with less than 50 games of junior experience. Let him cook.

Putting a player in the appropriate league based on their ability is not rushing them. Whether he's 18 or 22 is irrelevant if he can play in the AHL.
