I'm not sold yet either. Optimism reigns at every start of Sabres season, but seeing Owen Power still getting caught out of position worries me. Same old same old? We'll know very shortly. Let's see how they start the regular season and it had better be a good start this time around. You cannot blow off games early in the year and cling to "it's early yet and it's a long season". It has killed them several times now to have that slow start. Here's hoping. I like what I see of Doan and Kesselring so far in a limited sample size. Hoping for  a good start.

I tried watching the game on my phone. What an awful experience that is.

The score was pretty much what I expected going in looking at the lineups that were iced.

I think Doan and Kesselring will be fan favourites by year’s end.  They bring exactly what the team was missing. JJ was flashy but these guys are meat and potatoes and both seem to bring great leadership which by all accounts JJ did not.
