PASabreFan
Tom Jolls was hanging low that day. http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KBUF/1975/5/22/DailyHistory.html?req_city=Buffalo&req_state=NY&req_statename=New+York Almost as warm on Tuesday in Buffalo, yet I don't think anyone seemed to notice. I recall the heat wave of May 1975. It was a big deal. Is this perception gap evidence of global warming?
That Aud Smell
i'm a bit too young to recall the unseasonable warmth of may 1975. it's an interesting point you raise about the ho-hum attitude about the warmth we've experienced this spring -- i was looking at pictures of the kids from april and thinking it looked like they were dressed for july. then again, it did snow on mother's day this year; the gloomy start to this may has tended to even out the monthly stats for the month. you know what may was hotter than balls? may 2007 -- my wife delivered (a baby) at the end of the month. and may was just the beginning -- that entire summer was a sweat box.
