Plus/Minus analysis on Sabres centers

As I try to kill time on this boring Friday afternoon, I'm scanning the Sabres stats and can't help but notice the +/- numbers of the Sabres top 2 centers.

Going into the Bruins game tonight, Roy is a -4 and Connolly is a -3.

It amazes me that a team 12-5-1 has two minus players centering their top scoring lines.

On a positive note, Gaustad is a +6. Kennedy is even.

I now have a greater appreciation for Ryan Miller and the defensive core...

Why else do you think the 3rd & 4th lines have been getting a lot of ice time, and are our better lines?
