bottlecap
I was listening to RJ's Greatest Hits and those days with Lafontaine and Mogilny, well, they were really special...especially that one year Mogilny scored 76. To me, Vanek is talented but he needs a #1 center. Unfortunately, we have two #2 centers. Taking nothing away from Roy and Connelly, they just don't have the playmaking ability to maximize Vanek's talent. Because the Sabres have a guy who's just now discovering that you can't make money with hockey as an owner (unless you sell it for a proft, which I'm sure he's looking into) we are stuck with our status quo and our homegrown goods. LabattBlue
I have no problem with Roy and Connolly as the top 2 centers IF the tinman can find a way to stay healthy. I'm not sure who you rate as #1 centers, but players like Malkin, Crosby, Thornton, Datsyuk, Getzlaf, etc... aren't easy to find.

I mean what could be easier than finishing last in the league in consecutive seasons and winning the draft lottery? GO SABRES!!!
carpandean
At least this year it looks like we may actually have a third player on the roster capable of centering a scoring line. We haven't had that since July 1, 2007 (well, maybe during a brief period last Spring, but that's debatable.)
