This Day in Sabres History :: March 1

Recommended Posts

March 1, 1998

Dominik Hasek makes 36 saves for his eighth shutout of the season, and Miroslav Satan accounts for all three goals as the Sabres blank the Capitals 3-0 in Washington. The win extends Buffalo's unbeaten streak to 12 games, two shy of a franchise record at the time. And, yes, for Satan haters, one of the goals goes into an empty net.
