  1. Dude totally hooked Clifton behind the net to get that scoring chance.
  2. I think I have a mancrush on Ryan Johnson. He just makes so many smart plays. Yes, they mentioned on the broadcast. Oopie's feelin' it tonight.
  3. Because he's a moron.
  4. Even though he didn't score, I'm glad Cozens shot that. He's gotta get his shooting mojo back.
  5. Starting the game with Coffee Crack, a coffee-infused milk stout aged on pecans in bourbon barrels, at 10.48 ABV. Win or lose I'll be oblivious.
  6. Sadly I don't think the Sabres will score even 3.
  7. Miserable Welps. Forest?
  8. I tuned out after the CAR short handed goal, but it looks like I owe Krebsie this
  9. No, it really didn't even start out well. It started out with the Sabres hanging on. Despite shots being even early, the Sabres never looked dangerous in this one.
  10. I'm done. Good night Sabrespace.
  11. Sorry, Casey, you don't warrant the animated gif this time.
  12. These Sabres don't even belong in the same league with the Canes.
  13. This is embarrassing guys.
  14. It was 0-0 with shots on goal at 6-6. It ended up 2-0 CAR with SOG at 14-8.
  15. I think a case could be made that Skinner is the best forward on the Sabres. Part of that equation is that the best ability is availability. He misses very few games to injury (as opposed to Tage, Quinn and Tuch), and is more savvy with his years of experience than younger players like Cozens, Quinn, Benson and JJP. I think Mitts might also challenge for best forward, but in a different way than Skinny. Skinner (still) plays with high end talent, but is also very cagey in terms of knowing what he can get away with and drawing opposing players into committing penalties against him. Also, he very rarely lets his emotions get the better of him. Even when he's frustrated, there's a certain inner calm. He manages to be in the middle of the play yet stay out of the fray. The two players that I think could become Skinner eventually are Benson and Peterka. They both look like they have that elite skill level but also play the game at a far more mature level than you could expect from players their ages. They also seem to have that inner calm. Before we get into debates, let me put the disclaimer out there that these are just my personal impressions from watching the players play the games and not backed by anything further than my own eyes and the porridge behind them.
  16. Maybe not the absence of Girgs per se, but maybe having Greenway on his line helps him. (In other words, maybe a Greenway - Krebs - Girgs line would be better than Greenway - Krebs - Okie)
  17. Skinner - Tage - Tuch Quinn - Cozens - JJP Benson - Mitts - Greenway VO - Krebs - KO BUT.... that brings the 3 full scoring lines thing closer to reality, and I think Benson - Mitts - Greenway might actually be a pretty good shutdown line as well as a scoring line. If VO just doesn't work with Krebs and KO, swap him with Greenway maybe. But really: VO must go. Even playing better hockey lately, he just doesn't seem to naturally complement any line he plays on.
  18. The Sabres will make the playoffs.
  19. Were you there, @Spoonman? Or did you miss that one? Thanksgiving Day 2019: Bills at Cowboys. Massive Bills Mafia tailgate. Buffalo Bros. provided free Sahlen's hot dogs by the hundreds. Josh Allen shined as the Bills stomped the Cowboys. Josh Allen converting the fumbled 4th and 1 was probably the best play of the game. This should be cued up to that play.
