To the learned ....
Is Chad Johnson a different goaltender, today, than he was earlier this year? The words that come to mind are composure and confidence, results aside. He seems in control of himself and rebound are managed, not coughed up ...
I'll hang up and listen ...
Same goalie, fewer mistakes.

Gionta - Girgs - Eichel seems to be a strangely effective line.
Yes indeed.
-
Risto is the real deal, innit?
-
Weak entry there, Ennis.
-
Franson is just crazy slow.
But he tries hard.
I like this Eichel-Girgs pairing.
-
Nice PK guys.
Good clear there by Eichel, spinning away from pressure.
-
Dang Ennis.... Looked like hip-to-hip to me, but what do I know?
-
Kane on defense , must be staying over for the O'Rielly practice.
That's not new for him.

DLo is playing the perfect game: Head down, responsible.
-
How was that not a penalty????
Tie up the Sabre so he can't get to the puck, but no interference?
-
Terrible change by the Caps.

GIO!
Sabres: :w00t:
Caps: 0

Ovi with an early penalty. Sweet.

Any shot Risto lites up Ovi?
Magic 8-Ball said YES!

Caleb Green has some pipes.

Have I ever told you you're a magnificent bastard?

Kane-Larsson-Ennis is a headscratcher. I don't even...
We play Washington three times this season - all three in a 20-day span.
Morons. Morons made the schedule this year.
I've never seen one so blatantly terrible, how did someone sign off on this?I think it's good to play the same team several times over a short span. Simulates the playoffs.

The "reason for existence" business was always a bunch of BS. The Sabres exist to be the team Terry wins a Cup with.
I keep looking at these two statements and trying to reconcile them with each other as a coherent stream of thought. They just aren't.

Bucky's in over his head.

Well it's water under the bridge, isn't it? Nothing you can do about it, so not letting it go is simply adding unnecessary angst to your life.

In the short time Linus has been here he has shown tremendous improvement. If Lehner rejoins the big club and Linus plays everyday in Rochester, he may be making Holtby like saves in a year. I don't think we can expect much more from a guy who plays once every two or three games in his first season in the best league in the world. To steal someone elses's line Ullmark will be fine.
Agreed. Ullmark is getting an insanely fortunate opportunity to play in the NHL this year. Take some of the pressure off and put him in the AHL for the rest of the year and his development will take off.
