Well, between Max and our Quinn, there might be two healthy achilles to work with.

Yes...I am fascinated by how the UFA market will play out this year. On the one hand, some of the high profile guys are still going to get their MAX deals in terms of term and AAV. But to your point, there is only so much $ cap, and so are the guys who don't sign early going to find out that they waited too long and the $'s have dried up???

Nice to see some areas of need being addressed for the future pipeline. The question I wonder about is whether other teams in our division have flourished more (or not) than us?

Bad news....hope they don't rush him back like Max Pacioretty.

Kind of like last year....he tried to move up the 3rd 1st rounder to take Kulich but was unsuccessful. Fortunately he was still there when they picked anyway. This does make me wonder though if GMKA needs to up his game though to get what he wants. If you want something bad enough, you have to be willing to pay enough to get it.

Perhaps, but when you have a loaded talent pool, it might work against you. The other team's GM might look like a failure if he only gets Buffalo's 5th or 6th best prospect vs. one of our blue chippers.

Alternative thought...maybe on one 1st. Joki is a former 1st rounder as well and perhaps could eventually become something more than a 5/6 on another team. VO might fetch a 2nd round equivalent. So I guess I am wondering if Joki, VO and one 1st might work with team that is facing a major challenge retaining its existing players?
