IDK, IMHO - Joki is at best a 3rd pairing guy who has tried playing a top 4 role...and he's not up to the challenge. If management can sign a top 4 UFA player like Graves, then I would not mind seeing Joki traded for a 20th overall....so that we can maybe draft Simashev this year.

IDK, I think Vegas has more firepower than Carolina...just my opinion. That said, I want Florida to beat Vegas.

IMHO - in this case it is less about vets standing in the way and more about a strong culture and optics. GMKA has been trying to create a new image for the organization and part of that is setting a tone of loyalty where he feels it is deserved. For that reason, I expect Girgs to also be signed to a new 1 year deal.

Perhaps he will announce his decision before the draft? If he doesn't announce his intentions by then, "Fxxx' em" for being completely self-absorbed and showing no regard for a team that not only drafted him, but gave him a wide berth to figure out what he wants to do.

I suspect GMKA will bend over backwards to show loyalty to Okie and Z....so I doubt they will sign other forwards to specifically replace them. Unless the idea is that they replace VO instead.
