  1. Okay, but let's also not assume that top level GM's and/or coaches want a job in Buffalo either. Money may not be the issue, but it seems like the only ones who want the jobs are those unproven ones who can't get the same opportunity with other teams.
  2. I don't have any data, but it seems like a fair number of former players end up living here when their playing days are over. If there's any truth to that, then there must be something about the area that they like.
  3. Sadly, I have to wonder whether the effort would be the same even if the team was healthy. Worthless and weak is now ingrained in too many players now.
  4. Yup...and on Thursday we play Boston, where there is never a lack of moxie....jealous!
  5. We may not win this game, but this could still be pivotal as the time where Jack walked the walk and showed the rest of the guys that this really is his team. Everybody expects him to score, but how about getting dirty tonight and don't forget how he consoled Dahlin when he got benched.
  6. I prefer the angry versions of Dahlin and now Jack. We saw angry Jimmy and I like that too. Heck, how about angry Casey next?
  7. I didn't see that coming....good for Jack!
  8. Ask him to bring Trotz with him.
  9. Unfortunately, it seems like the only GM and coaching talent we can attract are first timers.
  10. Yes....I rather see Asplund in Buffalo and Mitts in Rochester.
  11. Casey is REALLY bad in his own D-zone.
  12. Make that 6 assists now...really nice feed by Mitts on that last goal.
  13. Yes...and then bring in Pommers and Vanek to calm things down (sarcasm). My point is that we have one legitimate center in the lineup and not much else up the middle. If Jack gets hurt, then we have nothing left.
  14. Pray very hard that Jack does not get hurt! We may have to call Brian Gionta to fill in as a center.
  15. Perhaps Bogo is feeling strong enough to pull the ears off a gundark!
  16. I am not so sure. My guess is that Jack's offensive talents have been so exceptional growing up, that his coaches have continually asked him to just go out and "score another goal" time and time again. At lower levels, his defensive liabilities are less obvious because there is not enough talent to exploit his deficiencies. At lower levels, it does not require as much of a constant motor to be exceptional.
  17. I wonder if playing Bogo at forward may actually somehow help his durability? I realize forward injuries are the very reason he is practicing up front, but given his history...he may be in a position to "hit" vs. being hit more often. Probably a crazy thought.
  18. Move, Pass less, Shoot more. They are too easy to defend against.
  19. I agree with this. Sam needs to play with Johansson IMHO and Skinner needs to move back up with Jack. Wingers can be debated, but I think Sam and Johannson both have high IQ's that would mesh well together. I would like to see Vesey with Skinner and Jack...as he might bring a little defensive ability, but at the same time finally score a goal.
  20. Yes...a 3 year deal at $4 million per year should do it.....(per Pominville's agent)
  21. If this is the case, they may seriously have to think about moving a defenseman to a forward position.
  22. So much for TT. Anybody want to see Murray called up to bang around some bodies?
  23. Normally Sheary IS on his knees because he get's knocked down so much. Maybe Mitts assumed he would already be on the ground by the time his shot got there.
  24. I am starting the think the only consolation left for this game is to keep Alex Nylander from scoring against us.
  25. 0 - 0 - 0 .....we want 1.....SOG!
