I was impressed with how well he held up physically.
Normally you would expect an 18yo to hit a wall at some point during the season.
He may have had a bit of a scoring slump, but effort level was very consistent.

Things have to be done in a certain way in order to give your team a chance to consistently win hockey games at the NHL level. Ruff knows those things.

Kevyn Adams claims he spoke to double digit numbers of candidates. Which quite frankly I think is *****.
The majority of candidates he spoke with probably told him right off the bat that they weren't interested... "Buffalo Sabres Head Coach" is not known as an enviable position around the league unfortunately.... it's where head coaches go to die.

1. Get Tage off the PK. It was a dumb idea, you don't put your leadng scorer on PK1. IIRC he hurt his hand on the PK. A healthy Tage completely changes the PP.
2. Schematics... more traffic at the net front and more than 1 or 2 breakout/zone entry options.
3. Better practice habits, more attention to detail, sense of urgency.

If he fix the powerplay and get them to show up in the first period, they make the playoffs.

Zemgus was in Roch the year Lindy was fired.

What players will do well under his tutelage?
I think Benson, Cozens and Power will benefit greatly... and maybe a guy like Thompson.

Right now it's UPL by a significant margin, he was top 5 in the league in sv% and GAA since Jan 1st.
Levi is still developing.

I’ve learned the people who earn respect in the work place take personal responsibility or as some would say accountability. Blaming the coach for not being motivated is a cop out and a sign of major mental weakness. Could imagine telling people at work, I’d do a better job if my boss just pushed me more. No one would respect anything you did or said ever again.
Are the players supposed to voluntarily bench or scratch themselves?

Keep him, he's cheap young and will continue to grow.
Trading him won't move the needle.

My short list...

Sounds like Kevyn's GM balls dropped today. Good to see, but now he has to walk the walk. Will he? Or will he continue to bury his head in the sand when things go sideways?

The standard is set too low, there's no accountability, no sense of urgency anywhere in the organization.
You hear it from all the players who have left, other teams practice harder pay closer attention to detail, the bar is just set much much higher.
Part of that problem is youth, but it's largely an organizationally wide problem.

6 months too late Kevyn.
DG was a dead man walking in Nov/Dec, you could hear it in his pressers, he knew what was at stake.
Edmonton moved quickly before their season imploded, Buffalo put their head in the sand.
There has to be a higher standard and higher sense of urgency top down in this organization for things to change.

Utah?!
Whats gonna happen to the Grizzlies?
Will Tuscon still have a team?
So much to sort out, so little time.
Bettman painted himself into a corner on this one, smh.

Dexterity hand should be at the top of the stick as that's where you roll your wrist when stick-handling... bottom hand should be loose letting the stick rotate.

Can Benson go to Roch after the season? I'm guessing he could only got back to his junior team because of his age.
