Rosen is making more plays than Rousek and Kulich Rosen, Rousek, Kulich are ahead in development than Quinn, Peterka and Krebs NOT CLOSE Not Heartless, be stupid to do anything else. Our Top line has years in the NHL now. Dahlin is going into 5th year. We are NOT that young. We could use a defensive pairing for Power. Good scoring Vet with 1-2 years left to contract for Cozens. Okposo is a mistake to sign. Not needed. Captain will be Tuch or Dahlin.

You think people are reading to much into Adams is setting up Team for long term success. What exactly does that mean? They haven't gone to the Playoffs in 12 years. So they have a Bunch of players that have talent, Eichel had Talent, O'Reilly had talent, Reinhart. Translation; Sabres have a lot of Prospects. Unless Adams replaces the weakest players on the Team with players that bump others off the Roster now then Sabres will be in a Perpetual setting Team up for "Long Term Success" that will actually NEVER arise. How long before Dahlin, Tage, Skinner want out because Sabres are wasting their Prime years? This is what has happened time after time with Sabres past 12 years. Yes Adams has to prove this. Made good Trades but not at a Level to succeed immediately. Need a proven solid Veteran 27-30 like Anderson was. If needed, can play 40 games or more in case Levi injured. See if there was a way to extend contract of Comrie and stash him on a Veteran contact for Amerks that allows him up to Sabres during injury. Obviously we would have to keep him up after or Waive to Rochester. Make the Salary big enough to dissuade that.

Your OK till you got to Johnson. You need him in the Pipeline in case of injuries. If he turns out good then you dump the low hanging fruit. That is not a rebuild. The Bills are not rebuilding, they are adding replacements for players lost and Depth. The core of players are still there and Allen is their Leader. The Sabres Core is here and will all be signed long term soon except Levi for 1 or 2 years. What they do from here and 6-7 years is NOT a rebuild anymore. They should be adding to the core to sustain PLAYOFFS and Lord Stanley Cup! We are NOT in learning mode anymore when your signing long term contracts. Exactly Makes me wonder where Pegula is on this. Makes me wonder if Kevin Adams is the right guy, sounds like he is afraid to fail. His demeanor in the Press Conference was defensive from the start. The fact he sounds like he wants every player back is a man who is afraid to make a change to get better. Hard to get TOP LINE better statistically but everywhere else you can. Those players then move down and make team better. That means some players leave. I don't necessarily follow "Players" I follow the Buffalo Sabres, I want the TEAM to succeed and sometimes to do that you need "some" change.

Adams won't commit to a direction other than "Learning". He is afraid to fail. You can hear it. John sent Adams in that direction and he got belligerent. Next year is Playoff's or fail, Don't need Adams or Granto to confirm this. Their own players will demand them to get the TEAM better. You can see they want to WIN! This board is "sensitive" to which players are needed to go forward so I will refrain from that. TEAMS only get better by changing the weakest players and adding to the bottom of their team. Centers are usually always involved and near Blue line, hence Tages awesome shots. He is not a Winger going to corners or net, I think 3 plus years proved that. He might be better than he was but your talking a TOP 5-8 Center in the league. WHY would you change positions or better yet line mates????? No doubt Tuch Tage Skinner are a Top 1-3 line in the league.

IF Krebs stays on 4C cause he is willing to be that Physical Presence, then maybe you'll see Girg/Jost Krebs Rousek. I still believe that second line needs someone who will go to the net but most think it stays the same. Third line, until a trade occurs, is Greenway Middlestat Olofsson. Not just cutting a 28 goal scorer and he did play at the end of the season and scored. BOOOO! Might be able to keep Kulich up and bump Olofsson at times he is cold ( It will happen, he seems to score though when put back in ) Adams should package Olofsson and picks and get a replacement older scoring Winger ( Stays till replaced by Rochester Winger permanently ) for Middlestat line that fits ( Kane would be perfect 🤣 ). No doubt fans have had enough. BOOOOO! Savoie will spend time in Rochester first, unless for some reason he can't. Kulich is ready for some time in the Sabres lineup to see what he has first. Always be sent down before the clock sets first year. Okopso is not coming back, no room unless you dump Greenway. My guess is he retires. I don't think he signs a Rochester Vet Contract and call up on Injury? Players in Minors will opt out being in Buffalo if a path doesn't open in Rochester. That means a trade of Amerks is needed for future picks, 4th defenseman, Back up Goalie but I think from presser we will have at least Comrie back. Maybe if UPL wants to stay too 3 headed Goalie monster again. BOOOOOO!

Actually proves my point, Tage only became a BETTER player under Granto. had 160-200 games before he had break out Goals. This year he has emerged as a Top 5 Center. Jost is a better player than he was past 6-7 years under Granto, Got to play 3rd line Center. Gets a camp here, he will be better. 25 is young in Hockey, The guy broke in the League young 18, and has stuck. His 1st two years were a lot like Krebs at 18-19 not 22. So the path for Krebs may NEVER take off as seen with Jost. I like what Jost has given us and Granto awarded him 3rd line. Jost will never be more than bottom 6. Krebs was brought in to be TOP 6, not even TOP 9 right now. Krebs hasn't met the Expectations, Jost has. Semantics but that matters when you build the team. Krebs doesn't survive winning 4th Line. Brought in to be better. Others that have line 4 qualities in Rochester NOT named Savoie or Kulich. Funny how people want to change how clubs are built. Adams and Granto won't be satisfied if Krebs WINS 4th line!!! Rather he wins 3rd line Center and Middlestat plays wing or traded. That is the better problem to have. That would mean Greenway, Quinn or Peterka failed. NICE Potential doesn't get you in the lineup, being the better player does, when trying to get to the playoffs next year. 1 Point away, going to take the better player now if there is only 3 years between. Learning Season was 2022-2023. Learned what it takes to get to the playoffs. Krebs has to show he can get to be better than a 4th line Center, 9 goals for 26pts. Not a PP guy, PK guy, SO guy, Winger. Jost hits a few of those at 4th line Center. If he doesn't show in camp he can break Top 9 then he won't get that chance. Need a checking line for TOP 3 of the other team. So if Krebs is over Jost (another Center) he won't score or EVER get those numbers. Should have stayed in Rochester, NOT Ready for NHL team looking to make playoffs. Maybe that changes, don't see it this year.

Jost had partial year here not far off what Krebs did and he can play Wing, Penalty Kill. Better 4th line Center than Krebs as far as checking goes. Didn't get Krebs from Las Vegas to be a 4th line Center. Krebs needs to break the 3rd line someday. I bet Savoie breaks the TOP 6, maybe even Kulich before. I see NO PATH for Krebs to do this. Jost doesn't need to, 4th liner pure and simple. Never be a 20 goal scorer, doesn't need to be. Go to long with Krebs, he will be OLD and no trade value. Again, NOT about Krebs, about the Prospects and he just put bad numbers up. Can't be more than a 4th line center without injury long term. That happens, has no TRADE VALUE. Sabres don't go to the playoffs. Krebs becomes top 3 center next year, we are done.

If Krebs beats them out then they won't see the Sabres team for 2-3 years. Middlestat will have to be traded if they don't sign him, RFA, lose him on price. Savoie or Kulich are NOT beating out the current Wingers. Rousek will be on the team, need his two way play, drive to net and Penalty kill. Not jumping ahead without complete failure next year of Quinn and Peterka. Greenway is going nowhere for at least next year. If Granto gets it to work he will be a Sabre for many years, size alone dictates that. So if they don't show what they have this year not much of a chance they break the lineup anytime soon. This is all assuming Olofsson is gone too. This teams drives to the playoffs won't be much room. Get better and better as constructed. The spot to take is Krebs. Dahlin 15 for 73, defense Olofsson 28 for 40 everybody wants him gone Quinn 14 for 37 not enough BUT Peterka 12 for 32 not enough but Okoposo 11 for 28 old but Captain' Jost mid year 7 for 22 maybe Krebs beats him out but a full year here, NOT Power 4 for 35 19 years old rookie no AHL plays DEFENSE Didn't do Cozens, Middlestat or 1st line because it isn't close. 9 goals for 26 pts is very EASY for Savoie alone to beat out and he will get THAT chance. If Not him then Kulich, if NOT him them Jost (if signed), etc... Adams has to get to the Playoffs. Krebs Stat line NOT good enough, so next camp he will have to get more goals then the 19 year old players or he will be Benched or traded. Krebs CAN'T break top 3 lines as Center or Winger so he has to be 4th line or bench and he can't do anything else but Center at this point over other players. Everybody keeps talking POTENTIAL, that Potential was suppose to be shown like Quinn and Peterka. You see what they can do if they shoot. You except the stat lines. I see Krebs shoot and I say PASS THE PUCK. He misses the pass and I have other verbs I use. TELL ME I AM WRONG, actually don't because so far I haven't seen a honest opinion on this subject yet. Be the first to admit I am wrong if proven otherwise next camp. I was wrong about Middlestat, but only one year, this second half. I am 57 years old watched Sabres since 79 that I remember. I have seen GREAT players. I have seen the Cyr's too, all the potential but it just didn't stick and Krebs is NOT Paul Cyr. Not Middlestat either and all that matters is what he is now because everyone else is in the system too and will get BIGGER, Stronger, faster, better shots. They are all young, even Jost. Don't see a path for Krebs, Adams isn't just gonna give it to him next year like he did this.

Quinn Top Level Prospect, Pass, Assists, good shot if he shoots. Can play with Cozens or Middlestat (C). Cozens needs proven scorers now. Pretty sure Rousek ends up on one of these two lines too. Greenway Rousek will balance lines with Peterka and Quinn other side. I like Greenway Cozens Peterka, Quinn Middlestat Rousek (this line will be fast and gets Quinn the puck to SHOOT) unless they get Top 4 Winger.
