I think he stole back to back against EDM & CGY. Then he fell off of a cliff.

We need a forward with a big old butt that can park himself in front of the net and feast on these rebounds. We're wasting them. Varlamov again. We are getting goalied.

Honestly, if my team played like them I don't know that I could watch them. It is such a sludge fart of a game.

Starting to feel like a "first team to score wins" type of game.

God I hate watching Islanders games. I can barely keep my eyes open.

They've poked thought the Isles D a few times, need too finish.

I wish we could play defense like the Isles. Not fun to watch, but effective. If we could pair our offense with 75% of what they do, we'd be very dangerous.

More idiotic NHL scheduling. I don't get why they can't schedule an 8 pm start on the second of a back to back.

I mentioned that a couple of times during the game...how far he was coming out. Scares the doodie out of me. I get that he's aggressive by nature, but he doesn't have the speed/athleticism to compensate for being THAT aggressive. I was shocked NJ didn't pot a couple in those situations. Seemed like the D did a nice job of keeping UPL clean when he ventured really far out.

Two of the ones UPL let in were absolute muffins your goalie has to stop. Another one was borderline. He also made some really great saves. Therein lies the paradox of UPL...he'll make a handful of terrific saves, but too often follows them with a soft serve goal allowed. Very frustrating.

I put nothing past this team. Youth breeds schizophrenia. I said a couple of weeks back it isn't a good idea to get too high or too low on this team...still feel that way. Future is very bright, but we need a big upgrade in net. Not wild about the idea of pinning all of the hopes on Levi just yet. I think he's the answer, but having him shoulder too much too fast could be disastrous. None of the 3 guys we have is a viable option next year. Gonna have to go get someone.
