Trusted Nursing Staffing named Sabres Helmet Sponsors
Sabres73 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Does this mean the yellow buffalo won't be on the helmet any more? That sucks, that was a great look. -
It's fine and good that you don't like that kind of music, but to aggressively say it "sucks" and is "garbage" is a pretty lame comment. There are lots of kinds of great music out there, from the Beatles to metal. No need to disparage it.

Well, everyone can pile on, but you don't know that. Look at his coaching record. There is no doubt that he's a top notch world class coach. That's beyond dispute. But his old school methods shouldn't have got him the job and he's done now.
-
It won't suck for Power if he ends up winning a Stanley Cup because he's on a good Team.

We can get those same wins wearing BLUE and GOLD.

If UPL plays the same as last year, he would likely have a very similar record, possibly a little better with a better team in front of him.

Color Me Impressed - The Replacements

Why would you assume it's a podcast? It's a TV show. The only troll I've noticed around here lately is you.

Just watching the Donnie and Dhali sports show out here in Vancouver (Don Taylor, formerly of Sportsnet). They are saying the Canucks blew it by not taking Benson when they had the chance. They're kinda pissed, lol. The consensus seems to be we got a steal on our hands.

Maybe - some players can and do make the transition pretty smoothly, just not as likely

I don't know, but 6'1" is too small? I just don't get that. I will not be denied a potential Roger Crozier, who was 5'8" !

Under-rated point.

I've been a fan since '73 too, and am very excited with our team. We're making the playoffs this year. No idea what the "joke" is.
-
Immaterial? Do you know what an asset is? It's something that can be used or traded.
-
Every single one of them are quality assets.

That's what they said on Sportsnet, and they showed photo of some carnival rides. They travelled across the country a lot. I like the character in the family of this kid.
-
He comes from a family of carnies - interesting. I'm going on record for liking this kid after seeing a few highlights. And he played on the same line as Savoie, so that factors in.

Oh no! The sky is falling! Well maybe it's falling! Things can happen, that could possibly, maybe make the sky fall! And there will never be goalies available again!

OEL Bought Out, Any interest on a cheap 1-2 deal?
Sabres73 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
From the above link "Ekman-Larsson was one of the worst defencemen in the NHL at denying 5-on-5 zone entries, stopping 38.5 per cent of the attempts made against him — 209th out of 211 defencemen who played at least 500 minutes. That was down from 45.5 per cent in 2021-22 and 48.2 per cent in his final season in Arizona. (A player is credited with a defensive-zone denial when an opponent fails to execute a play, such as a completed pass or scoring chance, upon gaining the offensive blue line.)" Sign him up! -

1. Clague is not as bad as he's portrayed here. 2. OEL is that bad. I've watched OEL the last few years. It's not that he doesn't help the Canucks, it's that he actually hurts them and is a detriment whenever he's on the ice. -

After watching OEL this year, I would definitely keep Clague over him. -

You're wrong, he's not rebounding, he's fallen off so far as to be let go by a non-playoff team who paid millions for the pleasure of removing him from the team. He's done, not sure how much clearer I can make that after watching the Canucks all year like I do every year.
