  1. From the above link "Ekman-Larsson was one of the worst defencemen in the NHL at denying 5-on-5 zone entries, stopping 38.5 per cent of the attempts made against him — 209th out of 211 defencemen who played at least 500 minutes. That was down from 45.5 per cent in 2021-22 and 48.2 per cent in his final season in Arizona. (A player is credited with a defensive-zone denial when an opponent fails to execute a play, such as a completed pass or scoring chance, upon gaining the offensive blue line.)" Sign him up!
  2. 1. Clague is not as bad as he's portrayed here. 2. OEL is that bad. I've watched OEL the last few years. It's not that he doesn't help the Canucks, it's that he actually hurts them and is a detriment whenever he's on the ice.
  3. After watching OEL this year, I would definitely keep Clague over him.
  4. You're wrong, he's not rebounding, he's fallen off so far as to be let go by a non-playoff team who paid millions for the pleasure of removing him from the team. He's done, not sure how much clearer I can make that after watching the Canucks all year like I do every year.
  5. Why do you think the Canucks, a non-playoff team, paid millions of dollars for OEL to not play hockey for them anymore? And you want him on our team? Yeesh.
  6. That would be a horrible decision. He was awful at even strength, awful on the power play, awful on the penalty kill. He's done, and it's obvious.
  7. I live in Vancouver. He is awful, and done. His career may actually be over.
  8. As someone living in Vancouver who follows the Canucks coverage, I don't think OEL would make Rochester this year. He was truly awful. Bad on even strength, bad on the power play, bad on penalty kills. Just bad. I'm not sure he stays in the NHL.
  9. Just like everyone else, but when you're in the vast minority you may want to consider that other peoples opinions.
  10. Seems like pretty much everyone else disagrees with you.
  11. Not a chance, he's turned into a solid Sabre - he stays, no question. They can pick up a defenceman a different way.
  12. Clean hit. Could be a huge turning point in the series if he's out. Wouldn't that be a story if it was a neck injury?
  13. Here in Vancouver, the Whitecaps peaked a few years ago when they could regularly get 20-25k at a game. Their recent games have been sparse. Conversely, the BC Lions of the CFL are becoming more popular, as they should be. They have LL Cool J at their home opener coming up, and are expecting a capacity crowd. I think the fascination with a fourth tier soccer league is dwindling. The MLS is nowhere near as popular in Canada as the Canadian Football League, let alone more popular than the NHL.
  14. The TV ratings for the MLS in Canada are terrible. Nobody is watching, few people care. And yet they magically have these huge valuations for the teams. I don't know, but the whole thing seems like a deck of cards that will crash at some point.
  15. Named one of the three top forwards
  16. Peterka named Germanys best forward. This tournament is going to do wonders for our young players confidence over the next few years.
  17. In my opinion this is a mistake, but not a huge one. Also, $2.5 million is excessive for what he brings on-ice - I understand the intangibles he brings, but he should have been moved into management where he could still work with players and provide leadership. Maybe it was offered and he declined.
  18. Well, you wouldn't be an owner without a team. But the obvious cities would be Houston, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Quebec City, for starters.
  19. Calgary - Cow Town Edmonton - Edmonchuk (lots of Ukranians) Saskatoon - Toon town, or the Paris of the Prairies Vancouver - Lotusland Regina - the "city that rhymes with fun" (Mick Jagger quote) Winnipeg - Winterpeg
