  1. No room for #37, has to be Rochester bound along with a trade of one of the D once #8 and #23 return to full health.
  2. ‏@kwsnow Gerbe skating w/ Grigorenko & Ott again today; Hecht between Scott & Kaleta. As expected, #42 is back in the lineup. @kwsnow No changes to top 2 lines or D-pairs (10/52, 57-24, 44-3). #Sabres
  3. Really good piece on Jagr The line of Roy between Jagr and Eriksson looks very dangerous in the couple games they've played. Ray Whitney was also a fantastic pickup for the Stars and he looks great so far this season.
  4. @TheFourthPeriod Minor trade: Pittsburgh sends D Carl Sneep to Dallas for a conditional 2013 7th round pick.
  5. Didn't look there, but thanks.
  6. Anybody see this scrap from last night? Now this is a heavyweight tilt:
  7. How long will it take before Scott and Westgarth square off?
  8. Carolina has to get untracked at some point with so many good players on their team. Let us hope they get on track after Friday. Let's Go Buffalo!!!

  10. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60974-d224389-Reviews-Hampton_Inn_Suites_Buffalo_Downtown-Buffalo_New_York.html This is my recommendation. It's a really nice hotel in very close proximity to the FNC.

  15. @BuffNewsVogl Audio: Sabres' Gerbe says he's ready to play; Enroth set to make first start http://bit.ly/YnLzaH
  16. @Real_ESPNLeBrun As I said last night, Sharks today will agree to terms with Scott Gomez on one-year, $700,000 (pro-rated) deal
  17. Depends on whether who you would trade for is an upgrade or not. Lisdstrom is not coming back and these ain't the Wings we're used to seeing.
  18. C'est la vie.
  19. @BuffNewsVogl Lindy Ruff gave strong hint Jhonas Enroth will start for Sabres on Thursday in Carolina, which would leave Ryan Miller for Day Two vs Canes I would have thought the reverse. But okay with either scenario this early in the season.
  20. Not reliable?
  21. Alrighty then. @TSNBobMcKenzie Jeff Woywitka (STL) and Tim Kennedy (SJS) on waivers today. Former Sabre, back to the minors. @RealKyper #NHL waiver wire. SJ #Sharks places Tim Kennedy on waivers which opens up spot for Gomez. Look for the 1 yr deal to be announced really soon
  22. @TSN_Sports Red Wings lose D White for 2-3 weeks after leg surgery: Go to TSN.ca for details. #TSN http://bit.ly/UUXAzG Darcy....Paging Darcy.
  23. No problem, good to get perspective from Roy on the situation: @SabresProspects Roy's comments do not suggest that decision has been made. Just an observation from Grigo's well regarded mentor. Roy pushed him all year.
  24. Patrick Roy: “Strong Possibility” Grigorenko Stays With Buffalo French-language newspaper La Presse in Montreal had some quotes from Quebec Remparts coach Patrick Roy yesterday concerning Mikhail Grigorenko, who has three games remaining with the Sabres before Darcy Regier and his crew have to make a decision on keeping him or sending him back to the QMJHL: "I begin to think that there is a strong possibility that Mikhail does not return with us. Yesterday (Monday), he played 13 minutes in his second game in two nights. He is doing well with the Sabres. And he behaves well defensively. I begin to think that the team I have right now, and that will add Kurt Etchegary when he is ready to return, is the one (with which) I'm going to finish the season." Interpreted using Google Translate The question is, has Roy's opinion been partially molded by conversations with Regier, or is he guessing on his own? Either way, despite comments from some coaches and media that he's playing well in his own end, I think it's a safe bet that Grigorenko will have to show more offensively to warrant staying in Buffalo. He's not here to be a third-line checking center, and I'm not sure that Regier sees an on-the-job training project during a critical playoff race for the Sabres as the optimal situation for the 18-year-old Russian. Special thanks to Kris Baker of SabresProspects.com for the heads up on this story.
  25. I'm with you all the way on this point: http://sixminutes.dlugan.com/stop-um-uh-filler-words/ This has unfortunately reached epidemic proportions, even among professional people such as journalists, politicians, etc. Drives me crazy as well. Seems as if the younger generation kills the spoken word with excessive utilization of "like" while others unnecessarily and abundantly throw in "ya know" as a filler. Some people are even writing in this manner. Absolutely atrocious trend that I hope comes to an end.
