Now move onto Pettersen...

And don't forget we traded Peter McNab, he had a heck of career in Boston. Tage was stuck in STL, things changed for him. Just do something, things aren't working as is. -

I don't know but yes I'm going there, they need to do something, I never thought my Father's anniversary death date would coinside with the drought. These are suppose to be my salad days of watching my team in retirement. And I hate salad, just least try being bold... -

Players who were good sulked how did that work out for next team. Paging Mr. Lafontaine (NYI).. Mr. Hasek (CHI)... Mr. O'Reilly (from BUF to STL)... Mr. Montreau (from BUF to FLA). Don't include Sam, he actually said he would stay. Take a swing give us hope, hell it's been 14 years, if it doesn't work fine but at least there was that hope! -

Why? We are stashing so many #1's in Rochester. We will stash another high end kid this year in a "bad draft year". Send the first rounder in '26 a good draft year. Krebs or Bensen are never going to be 100 pointers. Too small, they get muscled out, (I appreciate their play though). Kulich is literally the only player prospect I'd keep now. -
Trade the prospects, send Byram and #1 in 2026, throw in Krebs or Benson. Don't wait for draft day deals.

Hah... Ruff knew Cozens was soft, Lord knows it was Ruff sending the message through all his contacts in the NHL that kid wasn't his type of player, hence 4 months of rumors that Cozens was on the block. I like this, it's a Lindy move and a message. Bye Bye the "Workhorse from Whitehorse" (always hated that Dunleavy line).

It's true, about hiring the best. Knox was that. Maybe I do overlook Pegula's lack of being 'there'. All the memories of the Knox ownership when my parents had season tickets, my Uncle owning a section of the Reds was '81 when a snow storm hit during the game and the crowd implored Seymour to buy a beer. He didn't buy beers, but he kept the Aud open and paid for food. We got home but my cousin Sin was pregnant and they stayed. The owner was invested.

Saw posts about Adams and replied, but felt this deserves it own topic. Kevyn (what the hell, it's Kevin). Just getting started and don't blame me for paragraphs, I grew up without computers. Mr. Adams is the antithesis of a Sabres GM. Going back to Punch our pedigree for a GM was making bold moves. Punch, (not Ingles), Bowman, Meehan, Muckler and Regier and Murray (Murray flamed but tried). They did the moves, sold the team to the players. Adams, no, blame others, he can't sell Buffalo as a team, a place or woo them with cash. Say what you want say about Pegula but if Adams can't convince that a move is good then why for love of Pete is he a GM. Adams got comfortable. That is a problem. Rant done, old Guy here is going to watch original Matlock..

Continuing on my riff... If Adams blames outside things as to why players won't come here, why is he a GM? I don't know, maybe because he can't sell which is a GM is paid to do. Sorry Kevin boyo. but maybe spending time in the summers at Chautauqua Lake instead of fixing your mess is a look in the mirror thing.

My problem with Adams is he doesn't have the Sabres pedigree that is a Sabres general manager. Being of an age going back to Punch, our GM's were bold. They made moves. Adams is soooó gun shy. Hell, even though Murray flamed out, he tried. That is sad thing about Adams. He forgets to take the balls off the mantle, because he got comfortable. That is an indictment.

No offense to UPL.... he has been playing great.... but for the love of Pete.... he really needs a dental appointment... Now before you flame me... I'm old, a denture guy.... and yes, it has made my life better.... (which I wish I done years ago... and played hockey, box lacrosse ans spit out teeth)... the kid is are goalie... -
I understand trades, but they're still kids who mostly billet with families, supposedly still in school. Many questions which I don't the answers. If they sign with the draft club, do they get the bonus?... Over 18 do they get their own housing?... Just asking... It's seems like a lot to put on kid still.

Don't get it... if it's 4th line player who goes?... Not that our 4th line is setting on the world on fire Do we move Z to recover a higher round pick? Do we move Krebs, salvaging a pick?.... I'm to the point where instead of watching the Sabres I'm just going to revert to childhood rubbing Elmer's glue on my hands, let it dry and eat it.. (I've been contemplating this for the last six years of the extended playoff drought)
