    The worst trade the Sabres made in recent history was trading McNabb and 2 2nd rd picks for Fasching and Deslauriers.  Fasching never made the Sabres, Deslauriers was a briefly useful 4th line player and all McNabb has done is be a steady stay-at-home D for the last decade who is having a breakout offensive year this season.  Also one of the 2 2nd rd picks became Eric Cernak.  All Cernak has done is become a steady physical stay-at-home D for TB getting top 4 minutes.  Well done TM.

     

    Haha.   I remember TM loving him some Hudson Fasching.   What a terrible trade.

    I'd pick a bottom 6 that's liked in that room and trade him. I'd decide which assistant I'm getting the least from and fire them. 

    That’s how I feel.  Something “big” needs to happen to wake these kids up.  It’s almost like they aren’t taking their job seriously enough.

    The smart thing to do would have been to draft a goalie in 2021 with either Cossa or Wallstedt both available at the Rosen pick and then in 2022 you take someone else at 41 such as Noah Warren, Luca Del Belluz, Christian Kyrou, Tristen Luneau, or even Matyas Sapovaliv

    When we made that trade with Philly(?) I thought for sure it was for one of those goalies.  I really wanted Wallstedt.

    Go back and read the post man.  I said “I’m not saying he’s broken”.  
    And no, not cause he let in a goal in an AHL game.  Don’t be silly.  It’s because he got his butt handed to him in the NHL.  It’s because we threw him to the wolves as a rookie coming out of college.  You don’t do that with goalies.  Levi is not that special.  He should’ve started this year in the AHL. 
    And to be honest, there was a good amount of players who weren’t happy he was just kind of handed the the 1a spot.  They felt like he didn’t go out and earn it.

    But what makes him different from almost every single goalies out there?  What makes Adams think Levi can make the jump from college to a full time starter right out of the gate?  I’m more of a football guy so excuse this question.  But has there ever been a goalies go straight from college to a successful starter right away?

    Mitts is seeing $$$$$ with this news.  Hopefully we can afford him now.

    No he is not.  Not right now.  And I fear we are ruining him by throwing him out to the wolves. 
    i think he will be our best goalie and could be very good.  But I think he could be best benefited by spending a year in Rochester. 
    I’m almost every sport you see the important position players “protected”.  QB’s rarely get thrown out there.  Pitchers too.  But goalies almost need more time than either of those guys.  The best thing for Levi and the future of the Buffalo Sabres is to send him down for the year.

    It's hard to follow on radio, Ray is a blubbering idiot and Dan isn't capable. Maybe for TV, but even that's a stretch. 

     

    Glad to see they pulled it out. Sounded loud there for once!! 

    I live in Canton and hate that I can’t listen to the game.
