Welcome back!
Hey thanks man. Go Sabres
(Please get a power forward)

Need to make a trade for a power forward. How much better/entertaining would this team be with one of the Tkachuk Brothers? Exponentially better.
This is a team that's been devoid of gritty/grinders for several years. I want a guy that scores a goal then blasts someone on his next shift. Like a Shane Doan.
All the coaches seem to value is speed and shot.

Very good call.
Without that fluke to start the game there's a very good chance this doesn't become that trap you predicted. But that goal happened & it did.
Disagree. They got that goal right back. That 1st goal did not/should not have mattered. This is a team they should have beat fair and square
I'll change my tune if they paste Vegas and Boston (or just win) at home, which is possible. It's far too early for anyone to think the seasons over, even though this loss stunk

This would be an absolutely back breaking loss and could easily turn into a 5 game losing streak with Vegas and Boston up next.
Come on Granato fire up the best speech of your life

Wonky pass from behind the net from Power to Clague that went nowhere near Clague.
Nice use of wonky. We're still gonna win this game 8-2

22 seconds in? LOL

Sabres win 8-2. Then win their next two at home.
That Boston game is going to be very telling, could define the rest of the season.
-
Well, we have three more tries against them. I'll admit this loss did sting a bit. Being up 3-2 in the 3rd with all the injuries, could have been 8-4 on the season
Who do we play next? Vegas? They are on fire right now. Could be another tough loss.

So they lost then. Like usual. Call me when they don't. I'm not interested any excuse you can make for them.
This dude thinks we should win every game. 82-0

So they lost again. Against a good team. I'm shocked. I've seen this mess before.
Can we stop this "they've arrived" crap now? They haven't. Not at all.
Lol @ your name. Suits you perfectly.

If everyone on the team can look that "off", we're going to be just fine
Bunch of defeatists in here. Granatos got a plan. 5 forwards on the powerplay AND on even strength.
Sabres win 5-0 Stamkos retires on the spot

This feels like another loss but I am hopeful.
I can't wait for the D "core" to come back from injury. Pilut, Fitzgerald and Bryson just aren't good enough.

So offense is only counted in goals?
Now I'm ticked off. All this time, every person who ever talks about hockey and offensive stats always tells me goals, assists, and total points and they've been feeding me garbage this whole time. All you damn analytics people who kept going on and on about assists, secondary, primary... you know what? You are full of it. The mop has spoken. It's all gimmicks. It only matters if you score goals! He has simplified your lives. Hell, simplified the lives of all the officials out there at every level of the game who struggle to remember two players who touched the puck before a goal was scored. It doesn't matter any more. Praise be!
I guess I will sit back and start watching the players who only score goals. I will focus on their offensive possession skills. They should be easy to pick out. Those players taking the puck and skating end to end to score their amazing goals. You know, the only one's who drive offense.
Lol @ sarcasm
He should have more goals though

Fun fact,
Svechnikov: 66 giveaways
Dahlin: 42
You are mad that a defenseman isn't producing more goals than a winger?
No, I'd rather have a power forward than a gimmicky offensive defenseman. His title is literally offensive defenseman. Where are the goals?

Well for starters, at the most basic level, he has 14 fewer points in 9 less games while playing defense on a easily worse team than Svechnikov. He is on the ice more, has more on ice responsibility, is 19 playing defense which basically no one does, is our best transition defender and his defensive game took a huge step forward this year, he is physical in his own end, skates better than svechnikov. He has a higher xGF than Svech which is very impressive considering he plays defense not wing.
So basically I have a defender playing a harder position on worse team with barely less scoring all while having better xGF and slightly lower than Svech Corsi for %.
4 goals. Turnover machine. Mental errors

That's it? Talk about not trying.
Says the guy who didn't try at all. Nice 1 sentence response.
How is Dahlin better than Svechnikov?

You know what, I'll bite.
Explain to me why Dahlin is worse than Svechnikov.
Also explain to me how Dahlin is a finesse guy and what you mean by finesse.
Besides goaltending, our biggest problem is defenseman who can't play defense. Picking Svechnikov somewhat solves our "secondary scoring" issue.
I would rather have a scoring power forward than an offensive defenseman any day of the week.
I'm not explaining to you what finesse means. Look it up if you have to. If you can't tell why Dahlin is more finesse than anything, you're not trying.

Should have picked Svechnikov
