Yeah I mean 4 of these losses are too Cup contenders. They’ve played well for a lot of them. Sure it sucks they lost all of them but I’ll worry when they are constantly losing to the bottom of the league.
Its amazing Reddit is more reasonable than this place.
Thumbs up

We now say this every game. Good teams make their breaks and their luck.
Better than never saying it like every other of the last 12 years

Tage Thompson will score 42 goals this year with 35 assists, provided he stays healthy. 82 games played
The Sabres will win 39 games and be less than 10 points out of the playoffs at seasons end
A prediction thread might be a good idea. I'm curious about other posters opinions long term, season wise

Tonight’s game shows us how much we could have used someone like Eichel.
Will Bedard by that guy?
You didn't just hit the panic button you obliterated it

Ullmark somehow put up respectable stats every year with horrible defense in front of him.

I said this before the game in another thread. I personally don't see why you don't.
You signed him, play him. Simple

Bryson is no better than a 7th D man. Oh, he has a few cute moments here and there, but he’s too easy to play against, regardless.
He's 5'8 and plays defense. Ridiculous. And they re-signed him LOL

Not saying anyone's wrong about how they feel but it's funny how quick fans can turn on a team. Especially their own
I see a few positives
7-7 W/L
Respectable amount of shots on net (past several years were BRUTAL like less than 20 A LOT)
Can't do a thing about injuries, should be better when guys come back
I dont see any giving up mentality (from the players)
I would have liked to win this game, obviously, but the season just began

Other team, shoots a puck and it will literally heat seek to the back of our net regardless of circumstances.

They always seem to give up a goal immediately after scoring.

Eichel is full of himself 100% of the time.
Yo PA who ya got winning this game. I could see a blowout in either direction

I'm thinking a 41-year-old goalie who missed significant time last year due to injury would not hold up long as an every day starter. I think Granato thinks the same thing.
I did not imply that he should be an everyday starter. I think he should play more.
I thought when we signed Comrie it would be a 50/50 split. Its not, which is okay. With how long Craigster has been in the league plus his stats being respectable, he should get more playing time than he has now.

No, logic says if you play him too much he will break down and won't be available for the full season.
Actually it doesn't. Ride the hot hand. This team is different when he plays dating back to last year. Reminds me of when Ullmark was in net. The whole team played better. They scored more goals played harder. I think it's a respect thing

The 6'4" power forward they traded for last year
I like Tuch I think he's a good player with lots of potential but he's no power forward yet.

I think KA and DG have Anderson on a tight pitch count.
Yeah, but why? Typically pitch counts are reserved for guys returning from injuries. Not for guys you willingly re-signed to play for your team and who has respectable stats for said team.
If they're so worried about injury, why re-sign him in the first place?
-
Why isn't Craig Anderson playing more? Not saying that Comrie is brutal. I know many of his goals he allowed were not his fault, but the Craiger has some nice stats going and a winning record just like last year.
The team seemed noticeably different when he played last year and he's doing well this year. So why not play him more and if he starts tanking THEN switch to Comrie? You paid him to come back and he's not getting any younger.
Logic says use him as long as you can

Eh pulling the goalie isn't that effective anyway
