@ Guy above me
Do not agree. We have the cap space, use it. Horvat is fundamentally sound in all aspects
Just make the Cozens line the 3rd line
I want a team that's reminiscent of the 05-06 team. Horvat would be a huge step in achieving that

That, too. Given the style of humor, I’d say it’s likely.
That reminds me I have to check on my 401k

I agree with both sides though. Tage is a freak show but I do want to make the playoffs after 246337883 years

I agree with what Horny said

I get what you're saying inkman
Mittlestadtz just seems hopeless to me. I don't hate the guy at all but some guys just dont have it. He's that guy

Thompsons development has been other worldy. It's because Jack is off the team. He got all of Jack's ice time. He was a skill player from the beginning those are guys that need the proper ice time (see Clarke MacArthur getting way better with the Leafs)
Granato realized this and immediately undid everything that was done so blatantly wrong. That's why we're seeing Skinner and Tuch doing as well as ever before
Tage seems like the complete opposite of Jack in terms or personality regarding leadership and selflessness hence the absurd development he has undertaken
Casey Mittlestat is worthless to me he's another Matt Ellis or Remi Elie type

@ Thorny
Why can't you go into the game discussion threads?

The biggest thing is just the acceptance that it’ll never again be as good
They could do better than Dan Dunleavy though

We seem to have a few newer posters who are literally only here to be negative/troll
PA will always be the Anti-Pegula narrative guy while Nill is our resident pessimist. Perrault is our newer version of “I like the Sabres but other teams are more fun for me now” But typically, besides Nill who rarely finds a silver lining in a jewelry store, add something to the conversation. What we have on this thread is 3 guys, 2 with under 150 posts, derailing a discussion with nothingness composed of petty insults, worthless conjecture, and what appears to be a pseudo-conversation about a new user’s name.
I don’t want to gatekeep but this is a Sabres forum not a school playground.
This guy is thinks he went to Harvard but flunked out of community College mad

@ Perrault
This Doonothing guy has obviously never played ice hockey or any other sort of organized sport. Anyone who would willfully defend Pilut should go take up hopscotch or something.

Not concerned about how tight the cap "could" get this team hasn't made the playoffs in 12 years. If someone like Horvat is out there you try your best to get him
Look I know everyone's excited all of a sudden because the Sabres score 48 goals a game but seriously dismissing Horvat over some cap crunch BS a few years down the road doesn't cut it for me
That's like saying Oveckin wants 10 mill a year but he's old and like Quinn needs to be signed
I don't get the viewpoints, respectfully and stuff
