Holy Jesus it’s gonna be a long night. I’m already an edible, several bowls and two beers into the night. Pray for me. 🙏😂
Why are you bragging about this

Yeah he was a smart guy, nobody decides to play hockey if they have another option.
I dont even know how the NHL exists anymore. The professional ping pong association (PPPA) generates more revenue per year

If you're into cool facts, OJ Simpson was actually drafted by the sabres but decided to play football instead.
That's because he knew the Sabres would stink and never win a title

Any real hockey fan would know that. They barely watch hockey, they're only here because they're lonely.
That LGR guy is definitely lonely. He's memorized every single movie quote ever made

Just be happy they didn't move the Bills to Austin like they should have
Did you know the Sabres almost moved to Seattle before the lockout? I bet 99% of posters here didn't know that

The Buffalo Braves were a pretty good basketball team back in the day. Would love to have a basketball team in this dump of a city

For those unable to watch the Arizona feed, Matthew White is the Taco Bell Student Athlete of the Month.

Just one more useless post from a poster who is a preeminent useless poster. Instead of trolling why don't you trying joining in with reasonable conversation?

What the hell, I'm into my pre-game BM and feeling a bit spry.
The Yotes haven't been shut out all season. In the last eight days, they've beaten a good Islanders team and the big, bad Bruins. They've won three straight on their home ice. They're well coached, scrappy, and play very hard.
If you're expecting less than a dogfight, you should forfeit watching the game.
I like making crazy predictions

If the Gabres don't beat them 7-0 they might as well forfeit the season

You make a good point but how many of our young players can we expect to actually reach Tage's ceiling? It's rather odd in a way but in most instances the knowledgeable fans here are much more aware of the abilities and potential of the young guys on the team than most of the so called national experts. We generally like our guys. As far as our evaluations go, they need to be tempered with the fact that we are also homers. Tage is showing that he is elite. Tuch is showing that when on a line with top players he is not out of place and is worthy of #1 line status. The whole 2nd line and 3-4 of our defensemen have the fanbase salivating. The rest of the league isn't going to get overly excited by players who haven't put up more games than what these guys have. Any other team is going to choose Tage for his high floor and ceiling and marvel at his long term team friendly contract. The first choice would be between him and of course Dahlin who is the kind of defenseman that is just not easy to find and one worthy of building a team around.

That’s the one thing you took out of that, that I said elite?Almost that entire era was great hockey in Buffalo. That’s a huge part of the reason the goat heads are a cool jersey.
Yup hence why I commented on that part
Elite is not a word to describe those Sabres
Very good, entertaining, fun to watch, sure. But not elite

I don’t really disagree that there needs to be more diversity of roles in the bottom 6, but it’s not Reaves. He is worse than any forward on the roster. He is a completely washed up 36 year old player, who barely had enough hockey skill to play in the league in his prime. He isn’t the the answer to any team’s problem.
He's synonymous with winning

Part of the lore of those being great jerseys are that we were wildly successful for the 10 years we wore them. Down right elite. A Stanley Cup Final, 3x Conference Finals, and a Presidents Trophy.
At its core the blue and yellow with the swords rock. But that decade in Sabres history was close to as good as it gets. Because of that I’ll always be a fan.
I also love that the current team plays like their hair is on fire in them.
Disagree
Elite teams win titles
