I don't want Kane. I don't like Kane. I think he is a one dimensional player. I think he is in Decline. Any icetime he gets here I would rather see given to the young guys.  I'm fearful any money given to him could be better spent on resigning some of the young guys in the next couple years.  There is no world that I want him at all anywhere near this team....BUT....overall I do like what Kevyn Adams has done and I have no problem admitting he has much more info on Kane and his injury status and how he would fit in on this team.

If Buffalo signs him I will not be happy, but I will think/hope it will work out in some way other than a P.R. move.

I feel the same exact way. You said it perfectly!

I felt the same way about Eric Staal. And I was very glad he was only on the team for a year.

  2. What Sabres defenseman was named to the NHL‘s all rookie team in 2018 2019?

What goaltender was named to the NHL‘s first All-Star team in 2009-2010?

Name the two players who scored 32 or more goals for the Sabres in the 1993–1994 season?

You didn't use the name of the band, but you certainly were referring to them.  They did make it out of the garage and were pretty huge worldwide by 1982.  Took the longest in America really.

That's it for my derailing of this great thread.

I swear to God I was not referring to any band at all when I made that original statement about garage bands. And that’s it for mighty railing of this great thread also 👍🏼

… and not that it matters because it really does not matter at all… But I think The Clash was and is amazing.

Another topic we all have pretty diverse opinions on.

Something changed with me about 3-4 years ago...over the course of a few months, I just kinda became "OK" with no fighting.

Sure, if there is a fight in a game I'm going to watch it, but if there were zero fights in the NHL, I don't think I'd miss it at all.

If only NHL player safety had enough guts (and the union allowed them) to make harsh penalties for the stuff that should not go on in the game, there wouldn't really be reason for it.

Yea I don’t mind fights that happen “naturally”, “organically”. I despise the fights that look forced, staged or in retaliation to a perfectly legal check or hit. That stuff looks like amateur hour to me.

  5. “ I only respect players who drop the gloves from time to time“

” OK now I only respect players who drop the gloves from time to time but they have to win the fights also”

” OK now I only respect players who drop the gloves from time to time and win the fights, but also aren’t injured after the fight“

” OK now I keep on moving the goalposts and I don’t know what my position is now of fighting and winning and injuries“ 😂

I think the point here is that you play a strong defensive game in front of your goalie an avg goalie can put up decent numbers

Yep. There have been many goalies… Who have been average at best… Possibly even below average… But they get in front of a very well run team and all of a sudden they look well above average or even on the cusp of elite. Swap out Ullmark with Kkkkkkkkkkkk and all the sudden he looks pretty good. Key phrase, pretty good.

  7. Why can’t Zadorov stay with a team? Why is he always on the rumor trading block?
Is it because he’s awesome? Is it because he never hurts his team with stupid penalties? Is it because his analytics are amazing? There must be some reason why he has been traded four times in his career so far.

Nobody wants a plodder, fighter like Reaves.

See the Lawson Crouse thread for a good example of a player that could help.

You are wrong about the word “nobody”.  There are definitely a few fans who want fighters/pugilists on this team right now today.

  9. I’m waiting for the extremely rich and inaccurate nonsense of it’s all the trainers fault with every injury. It’s always the trainers/conditioning coaches fault for every injury. And every long-term injury. 😂

i’m glad The workhorse from Whitehorse is only day to day. And not week to week. 👍🏼

and there were some very vocal posters who wanted this guy on the team.

Yeah but at least he is a tough guy and gets to

bloody a couple noses… And we all know… Getting into three or four fights a month makes all the difference in the world!
Sabres should trade for Reeves, and DesLauriers. Sabres would be instant cup contenders with those slugs/pylons/waste of space on the team!

Lists are stupid. Nothing but a bunch of click bait. In the journalism profession, they call them listicles and they are by all means the laziest of lazy journalism.

    Reasons:

    1. People are for some reason drawn to these lists... Likely to see if their favourite jaunt is on there. Or music lists where their favourite song is on there.

    2. It's a subjective... Research what a bunch of other people say and you don't even need to go further. A matter of taste. Similar to music lists.

    3. Lists aren't really need alot of good grammar because it's not for the high fallutin readers.

    4. In my google feed, I block any websites that are usually just a bunch of listicle garbage. Sick of reading about the best 10 days trips from Southern Ontario.

Anyhow, that's how I feel about listicles... Don't even bother.

Name the ten best and worst lists you ever read. 😬
