It's bad.
Official is tickets sold.
Yeah no it sucks it's not full every night, just sayin compared to last year. Next for me is on Monday vs Montreal, I expect that to be maybe 12k and 50/50 split in rooting interests.

I was at the game too, I say 10,000 max
Official was just over 13k which feels/looks right compared to Tampa. For a Oct Thurs against meh opponent kinda not bad.
Calgary fans were fewer than Rags and much less obnoxious.

I like to hit this place before games coming in from ROC, park up there away from traffic and walk down.
It's a modern vibe, good cocktails. My bro and his wife are food snobs and they gave it a high marks.
Go To for me - marg for sure, and whatever tacos are sounding good.

I know what Power was watching on the GTG as he had the best view in the house. Maybe watch something other than the puck.
Gtg was 100% Dahlin terrible decision to weakly push puck up the wall instead of eat it. Sabres are man down and his teammates should be collapsing around the house with 10 seconds left rather than looking for a breakout. They can't score if the puck is behind the net, but our franchise Norris guy does that? Ouch.
Other than that, lots to like in this one.

Why do we think Adams rostered Olofsson?
In one of the marketing videos from the Sabres last week he was mentioned "vic", maybe by Cozens? Context was respect for those that have been here / piece of core? not 100% sure but I was surprised to hear him by name and yeah I think that's why...we're not in the room, we don't know the dynamic. Not defending it, just answering the question. For me, Cozens is the big problem on that line. Why he's sucking, idk.

Hopefully not a lot Ranger fans in our barn tonight.
In the latest sabres youtube post the players seem sincerely frustrated by this, almost begging for a sell out of Sabres fans. Orchard Park envy I suspect and can't blame 'em. I don't expect it to change much unfortunately. For playoffs sure, but not the dog days.

I'm curious if they are doing the player goal songs again. I haven't seen anything on their social media feed. Mostly I'm curious what song Skinner picked for this year. Assuming they are doing that again. I hope they are.
The #1 question! They were playing "dance w/ somebody" last night in Carolina during a stoppage and my wife who is not invested in sports at all from across the room - "did skinner score!?!?"

Hmm, it carries some risk. Power has to keep improving for it to be worth it. Beware a sophomore slump though won't represent who he really is.
Impo, Dahlin will always be at a level above Power.
Right, admittedly I was firmly in the "Dahlin to Amerks" rage camp a couple years ago. And I my money is same, in the end Dahlin>Power. I suppose 25% isn't fair/proper way to look at it, similar to executive pay or something. Like so Power is 50% more than Mule, not linear.
-
So Power is 2 years younger than Dahlin and making 25% less money than him for the next 7/8 years. If I'm in Power's camp and I believe the upside is being in the Norris convo as well, I think I want a smaller gap there. I wonder if they are thinking long, $58m this contract and 8 x 13m or something next contract = >$160m total, that will get the job done.

It's ridiculously strict and comical. Walk of shame for Dads, husbands, boyfriends, every game. We park up by the baseball stadium and average is 5-6 faces of fast paced wrong direction frustration per game.
And didn't sabres fail some federal audit on this last year? Secret shopper got fake stuff in I think.
Feels like their could be some middle ground here. In fact I think the policy is different for non Sabres events.

Like the Bills Jets game, sometimes what you see isn't really what team is. All teams play bad games and have bad stretches, I'll worry when it isn't preseason and they don't have a week to fix it.
That said, defensively the Sabres don't look sharp. I'd be practicing that all week and nothing else.
Yup and I'm optimistic they'll figure it out. They want it. Just hope they don't lay an egg (>5gaa) in the first few games and get rattled.

What is the record of success/accuracy for these odds makers?
I have no idea but I feel like most people on the board know more than the odds makers. They lean on algorithms and machines. And I'm guessing in Vegas with emotions "my guys!" that pays them just fine. But like here, Boston, 101.5...that's one hell of a tempting under.

I'd take the over and will go bet some money on it. Wait what??
How the hell are both sides of the over/under minus money? F that...why the hell would I bet 115 dollars to win 100?
These bets are so much better than a single game. 82 events to normalize . Last year the over for Sabres was -115. Everyone bet it so they changed it to -125. I put a lot of money down on over for me (all relative) and it paid! So yeah I'm not a game by game gambler but these futures are different.

Would say that 92.5 is a no brainer very easy money and the 100 point line is pretty tempting too.
Personally am expecting 103 but expect there's a lot better chance of them hitting 111 than only 97.
Thank you this is where I am.
More from dahlin more from powers more from cozens more from JJP more from middlestat. Tuch tage skinner neutral to down. Levi wild card. All the rookies upside.

I've been spending too much time thinking about these odds after the no-brainer 77.5 last year. 93 is only one win better. Seems like we got this no?

NO STHers want to go to preseason games. Every city has a diaspora. As the preseason games are the ones they can not only obtain but get for reasonable prices, they tend to show up.
That's the theory at least.
Makes sense. I'm still ptsd after that oreilly game last year so taking a very little bit of solace seeing it.

Montreal @ Toronto tonight. Scotiabank. There are a ton of Montreal fans in the building, noticeable cheers for Montreal goal. Yeah it's a preseason game, and our barn is empty for them, but just surprised to see this degree of a takeover in that market.

"make the play that's there" EXACTLY. So many forced passes that just aren't there. Skinner is the all time great at this. Power and Cozens creeping up the standings quickly this year.
