  1. I love that this stat is getting trotted out now as if it means anything. Ah, so they've won a few games this season from being down by 2 after 2. Is that significant in any way at all? What are we comparing it with?

Do we come back in the 3rd more often than we don't?

What's our record when leading by 2 after 2?

What's our record when losing by 2 after 1?

What's our record when the moon is full?

What's our record when Lehner takes a dump during the 1st intermission?

I think the full moon and Lehner's bowel movement questions are valid queries.

The shifting of the tides, both from the moon and Lehner flushing the toilet could hinder the opposition from getting fresh water.

I wonder if Lehner does it pre game in the visitor locker room so one of them have to plunge the toilet.

  2. Interview from a reporter in Pittsburgh on Bylsma's time there: http://media.wgr550.com/a/118409667/02-13-andrew-fillipponi-with-howard-and-jeremy.htm?

    History. It's repeating itself.

I've read and heard enough. I am now firmly in the fire Bylsma corner.

And not only that, but I am seriously questioning if Tim Murray is the right individual to GM this organization.

Edit: and that was just painful to listen to. About 2/3 the way through, everyone was stretching to find reasons to like Bylsma as a coach. Then at the end of the conversation, all 3 admit he's not remotely close to one of the better coaches in the league............UGH

  3. I have an even deeper concern about this organization as a whole after reading so much material on Bylsma.

First, let me start he saying I'm usually not in to the inner workings of the management system of the team, but I have been, currently am and will remain to be a rabid fan of our beloved Sabres until the last breathe leaves my body.

With that in mind, what in the hell is going on from the GM's office? How could General Manager Tim Murray hire this guy given the critical importance of putting our franchise and young elite players in the hands of Bylsma?

And furthermore, General Manager Tim Murray convinced owner Terry Pegula this was the right decision after Babcock fell through? Or at the very least was supposed to be an advisor of Terry Pegula on such important decisions as putting the clubs future in to the hands of a coach that had these known reports on him?

I am now squarely concerned that Tim Murray may not just be inexperienced, but may actually be somewhat incompetent. And I don't say that lightly.

Due diligence, proper due diligence would have a file 6 inches thick with all of the quantifying information on a potential coach selection, especially when your handing him the keys to the newest Mercedes prototype.

My humor has quickly melted away, replaced by a queezy uneasiness about the navigation of this hockey team.

Am I alone in questioning what i do or in deducing what I have?

  4. I like retribution as much as the next guy but we need to win that game. We'd be 3 points out of a wildcard spot had they kept their cool. Lehner is a big boy. I'm pretty sure he wears big boy pants. Falk meant well but he put us down a man. Guys on this board were all whining about the calls that game but honestly most of those penalties were of the lazy variety. The Nucks played a smart road game , we played stupid.

Sigh......I concur......in lieu of the playoffs one can dream of a violent campaign......:D

  5. Falk it. Someone needs to step up but you've got to be smart about it. It put us in a hole we couldn't crawl out of. Lehners actions were just plain stupid at that point. The officials arm went up as soon as Burrows slashed Lehner. He could have backed off and let the chips fall but instead he went all beady eyed. He has to learn how to control his emotions. League wide that will be discussed before teams play the Sabres. Knock Lehner off his game. Its just that easy.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad both Lehner and Falk did what they did. As a matter of fact, I wad mad ad hell screaming they should have both jumped Borrows and pummeled the out of him. I want blood on the ice and after they got off him, I want Lehner batting Borrows teeth he lost down the ice with his stick!

    Go big or go home!!!!!!!

  6. I simply don't like DDB as a person. He's so boring to listen to in any interviews and it seems like it's always an excuse with him. "This team is so good at this so we have to limit there chances" , "this team does this so we can't do this". He comes off as a loser and I hate it. Recently when we lost to Tampa he was saying something about how you can't get pucks deep on them, Bishop controls the puck or something....A. Tampa is one of the worst teams in the league, I don't buy that at all, and B. if you know that, stop dumping it in and change your system! (sorry derrico).

DDB is lifeless, I want a coach who shows a modicum of emotion. Bylsma is an excuse machine and I think that seeps into the players mentality.

Lindy Ruff, Lindy Ruff to the white courtesy phone.....

  7. Ok, so barring any more interviews, statements or leaks from players today, we appear ready to make summaries and closing arguments for docket number 02132017AD (The System).

Who here represents the plaintiffs, (players)

Who here represents the defendant, (Coach Dan Bylsma)

    We await your responses.

  8. From Hoppe's article:

Is there finger-pointing among the Sabres?

“It’s not finger-pointing,” Eichel said. “It’s maybe we’re looking at some outside things that are the reason we’re not getting the result we want.

    Looking at outside things?

Are there half naked groupies outside the locker room?

Is he referring to the weather?

    Disappointed hunting season is over?

Do some of the roster need snowflake therapy?

What in the hell is he talking about, outside things?

    Priceless :D

So basically, what I'm getting here is that Jack reads The Aud Club forum, and his favorite posters are Flagg, qwk, WC, dudacek, and TrueBluePhD :P

What about Gionta, and Lehner? Surely their avid readers as well :)
