Korab was not that good. If you just wanted a fighter, Playfair was better. A better d-man would have been Hajt. Even Punch didn’t think much of Korab defensely. His plan was to play him at wing once he brought Tommy Abrahamson (sic) over from Sweden.

He skated with me, taught some things when I was 5, 6, 7 yrs old at Sabreland. I liked the way he played.

I admit, I preferred EDM winning. I hope they win this series. I can never really tell who I'm rooting for until that first goal is scored. Then my body tells me.

Plus, those Dallas fans in the stands are tough to look at. Just awful.

I still think wearing jerseys to games is weird. Of course, Edmonton takes that to another level entirely when everyone in the crowd is wearing the actual jersey that the  team is wearing that night,… but there ain't much else going on up there in the middle of nowhere, so I guess I can cut them some slack.

I once colored my tighty whitey's with the Sabres logo before a game....

My then high school sweetheart, future at the time and proudly, still my wife, loved it when she found out after the game. Many goals entered the net that night.....many....goals.

IF Adams is right about how talented the young team he's assembled will be when they're hitting their primes, there's a reasonable chance you'll see one.

If the coaches Adams has hired and the 2-4 vets he brings in this off-season aren't good enough to help that young team he's assembled get into the playoffs this season, we may never find out whether he was right or not as the direction will change once again.

It's cool to want a SC for the Sabres.  Pretty sure we all want to see that.  But this team is going to need some serious luck to have that be the result of the '24-'25 season.  And if nothing short of competing for a SC is enough, this upcoming season will almost certainly be a disappointment for you.

I know, but one can dream.

Everyone is " right " in May. " Prove Me Wrong " is my all-time favorite response...which pretty much sinks anything a poster says.

Cook, Kincaid and Shakir touched the ball the most during the late season 6 game winning streak. They are still here. It's all about Brady and his play calling in his first full season and his first camp to install his O. With Davis here at RB, I see more touches by the RB's, run and catch. Just my guess.

If Kincaid is on the field, then only 2 WR's will be out there. One may be Shakir. The other 10 on the roster now will fight to be the other one. The 2nd half of the season, Diggs averaged 4 catches 43 yards a game. Davis had a couple catches and was invisible many games. Phased out and cap savings does come into play but a big dropoff ?  We'll see.

My bigger concern is a pass rush and safety play on the D side. Unknown until we see it.

Agree on the offensive side of the ball. I'll only worry about the D if the O can't rack up the pts. Given what I witnessed with Brady, RB's will be more prominent.

A couple of nagging wounds from this past KC nightmare. The Diggs drop with 8 min or so left, and the poor clock mngt on the last drive. Diggs is gone, 1 issue dealt with. The over all game mngt? McDermott is still here. We shall see.

Here is the early trend after the first 3 cuts, 2 a week, so this is 1 1/2 weeks. Bare in mind the 9 day condensed usage due the grass growth given the rain.

1st cut, grass 6" average, 1st cut of season, heavy rain prior, grass still moist in low spots. Low speed, low blade speed, 1 cut down to 3". 84% battery start, 21% at complete thick tall grass cut.

2nd cut 3 days later, grass 5" average, low speed, low blade speed, 1 cut down to 2.5". 100% battery start, 39% completion.

3rd cut 3 days later, today, grass 5" average again (Stop Raining!!!!), 1 cut down to 2.5", 100% battery start, 45% completion.

A couple of trends of note.

1.) 2 x 40v batteries drain, the 2 x 80v carry the day. Picture below will show you post cut battery situation. The purchase comes with 2 x 40v and 2 x 80v with room for 2 more 40v and 1 more 80v. Personally, I'm going to take the grand or so hit and purchase them, given what I'm running in to with the plush lawn due to rain situation. Just an insurance purchase type thing for me. Glad I found out early on.

2.) Charging time, expect a good 2 to 4 hrs from 39%-45% range with the 2/2 as purchased battery configuration. The charger doesn't have a selector for fast charge, so best to stay on top of it.

So far LTS, she's performed as advertised, but I'll let ya know how the batteries handle a full summer. As stated, below are pics of yard done and machine battery data.

Novikov is already what we hope Komorov becomes at least defensively.  I don’t know how offensive defenseman from the Q translate offensively.  Their defensive play is questionable at best.  It’s good to see another prospect doing well though.

I'm liking what your saying here. I need to see defensive play standing out.

  7. I don't believe we'll have an answer as to which goalie is actually better for 4 or 5 years yet imo.

Which performs better in crunch time end of season gunning for a playoff spot clutch situations? Which performs better with an 82 game season consistency? Which is more stable in an actual playoff run and more questions I am sure.

  8. I think the 25 draft, with a couple 2nd rdrs and FA is where Beane & Co. will really accelerate the retooling. We just have to survive this season without serious injuries while competing for yet another playoff run. Geez, what a bad situation to have, eh? 🤣

The Bills are going to be fine, I fully endorse what they are doing. Clearing space, inserting entry level contracts, while addressing need. 2 x 👍

    GO BILLS!!!

You replaced Davis with the  rookie  who will likely have 600 yards +

But who is replacing diggs who's going to be the "guy"

The reality is we are going to have to make do with what we have, for now. Every team goes through the cap crunch time period. As I eluded to earlier in a post, the Bills had to remove some cap given their success, clearing the way for fresh contracts and another run. Their first run was stopped by KC each and every time. They'll be fine, next season isn't the end, it's not even the beginning of the end. But it is perhaps, the end of the beginning.

I'm confused who's going to be the number 1 guy ? Maybe Kincaid?  he's realistically only one I could see passing 900 yards .

The hype on the receiver issue on the roster is reaching ridiculous levels now.

The Bills lost Diggs, who was irrelevant the last 6 to 8 games, including the playoffs where he dropped a Josh Allen in the basket touchdown pass with 8 min left against the Chiefs, and Davis who dropped passes or couldn't get open so often that no one knew he was playing 80% of the time.

The passing game will be fine.

I’ve already told the wife I will buy one of the next generation to replace the riding mower I have currently. I also need to see how the vineyard and orchard are going to affect the size of my mowing area(s), so I figure it’s probably a 3 year buying timeline.

All that aside, it isn’t even the gas or changing the oil that bothers me the most—it’s the noise. I switched to a push electric a while back for working minor stuff around raised beds and fence lines. I love it because the noise level makes it more comfortable to work with. How is the decibel level like on your Ryobi? Any operator fatigue from mowing the acre?

Noise is very minimal. But I work around large motors and pumps, streamlines, all day, so I'm hearing defeceint as it is.

Please report your performance over the summer.... as I am interested.  I have a Husqvarna riding mower now but I often use my Ryobi electric push mower (exercise!!!)

I might consider this thing if it holds up.  The push mower is great.

Here she is when I unpacked her....

Edit: I normally cut twice a week. I'll keep a running tally on both the machines performance as well as the electric bill increase for ya, but the bill aspect should be negligible when compared to gas, oil and so forth.

  13. Picked up the Ryobi 80v 0 turn 42" deck electric mower. 1st use today. 1 acre, thick, plush lawn grass, started at 84% charge on 2 x 10ah 80v and 2 8ah 40v, upon completion, 21%.

If the 3rd 80v and additional 2 40v are purchased, I can fully see the 3 acre capacity claimed by Ryobi as a very real claim. She performed superbly, cut through the 5 and 6 inch grass on low blade and low speed mode with ease, no second cut was needed.

Highly recommend this product if your looking to get away from oil changes, gas.
