  1. It's something I once saw someone do and have oft pondered. I have too much other crap in my truck though. I mean you could probably do it without the cinderblock, but it's there so that people notice you've chained their tires. Keeps em from actually driving away and doing any damage.

    right!

you know what I want to complain about? Parking space stalkers. You know the type, they see you walking to your car and are intent on getting the closest space possible so they follow you through the lot to your car and wait for you to leave. I HATE it when people do that! Why not just go park a few rows over where there are plenty of spaces and walk the extra 20 yards? Is it really that important?

So I get my revenge now. I get followed through the lot I park in at RIT all the time. So what I do is park in the farthest corner of the lot from the buildings, and when I am leaving class I walk through the closest row. Some sucker always follows me all the way to the end of the row, at which point I start my walk down the far side of the lot to the back corner where I parked. Stalker McStalkerson squeals away in frustration that I wasted his precious time. Perfect. B-)

If by some chance I get a good spot and space stalker follows me to my truck, I make sure I take my time. Send a few text messages, flip through my cd's to see what I want to listen to, respond to some text messages, yawn, stretch a little, dig through my bag for some gum. It's unbelievable the amount of time people will sit in the middle of a parking lot waiting. :wallbash:

At UB I used to walk down the row that was one-away from my car, then cut between parked cars to get to mine. By the time the stalker went all the way around, someone else would steal the spot from them :)

  2. Not really a complaint but anyway:

I have the smileys turned off so that when I read this board at work, it isn't as obvious that I'm goofing off. ?The smiley's show up on my display as text "(IMG:style_emoticons/default/censored.gif)" etc.

This one? :wallbash: displayes as "wallbash.gif" which my eyes always read as "ballwash.gif".

What does that say about me?

  3. To me it sounds like a 40 cent tip. Not sure how that place uses it's coupons but if you didn't specify you had the coupons when placing the order, he may have to cover the difference. The whole charging for delivery slope gets slippery. People have asked me "How much of the delivery fee do you get?" (my previous employer charged for delivery, my current one doesn't). My answer was "None." I was just as baffled as to why as the customer. Cheapskate owner I guess.

If your intention was to give a 4 dollar tip, then great just don't make it all complicated with 17 coupons and secret handshakes to get it.

I did intend to give a $4 tip, but I wasn't about to spend $19 on a pizza to do so. ?If it weren't for the coupons (that I thought I was giving the savings right back to the kid that delivered), I would have picked the pizza up myself.

What is considered a big tip anyway? ?I mean at some point you're giving them more than just the tip. . .

  4. Pizza delivery guys expecting huge tips piss me off. ?I got a pizza delivered to my house last Friday night. ?The place offers a $1.50 coupon and a free delivery coupon (worth $2) that says right at the bottom of it "Can be used with any other offer or coupon". ?The total (before coupons) comes to $14.60. ?I give the guy $15 and the coupons. ?That is a $4 tip. ?The guy acts like I kicked his dog. ?The only thing I can think of is he has a stack of coupons in his car that he turns in to the restaurant when customers dont use them, pockets the difference, and gets mad when people actually use the coupons.

P.S. ?Don't expect a bigger tip if you deliver my pizza in a 14mpg truck. ?I didn't ask you to, and my pizza isn't going to taste any better because you did. ? :nana:

Yeah, or you could say they are 2-0-1 with 15 GF and 8 GA in the last 3 games and so they are back to normal ... 7-4-1 in December really isn't "hovering around .500" ... 6-3-1 in the last 10 still top 5 in the league over that stretch ... 11-0-1 on the season with Tallinder in the lineup ... it's all about where you draw the line, the numbers can be twisted to make them look hot again or cold compared to the start ...

Still, I agree, these next two games are huge ... home games against, in my opinion, the biggest threats to the Sabres in the East (along with Montreal). Win them both, it creates a nice cushion and sends a message ... lose them both and it will be a dogfight all season. Split them and ... well, I have no idea what that means.

If you torture numbers long enough, they will confess to anything.

On average, each human has one breast and one testicle.

Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital.

  6. With how instrumental Brendan Shanahan was to bringing about the new rules and how much pull that might give him; and how pissed he was about the one-sided officiating last time these two teams played, I wont be in the least bit surprised to see it just as one-sided tonight in the other direction.

  7. I don't know what's going on. It says NHL hockey and I see a bunch of gorillas yapping about football

My Tivo guide says it is expecting "Knicks Gamenight" on, but I figured it was just a mistake. WGR550 and Sabres.com say the game shouldbe on MSG. Time to call Time Warner. :wallbash:

Did anyone hear anything about Kotalik? I heard Jim Lorentz say at one point in the 3rd that Kotalik must be injured b/c he hadn't played in the 3rd.

Lindy said in his press conference something about Kotalik not having it tonight. He put Gaustad on that line instead because he was "stronger on the boards".
