You show a replay where Mitts does his patented puck fumble and got lucky to finish it and you expect to garner jealousy? I don’t miss him. I don’t want to imagine this team without Byram right now

Can’t tell if monkey is off their back or Seattle is just bad. 18 rushing yards makes me think the latter

Team play looks really good despite many individuals struggling. Lots of bounces today that went both ways for both teams making the score weird. UPL was just meh. Those negatives are what make me feel confident because we’re looking good as a whole and winning despite that. Not like Kruegers streak where they pulled a rabbit out of a hat night after night while the league was busy 85%ing.

That was an entertaining sequence.

Did I just watch Quinn check somebody into the net and cause a goal? What

Lindy is doing a good job and getting buy in. The focus on blocked shots being something I don’t think we’ve had since he left. I think his change in age has come from being more calm about communication this expectation of the little stuff and that being what gets his approval. The prior approaches of giving players confidence and hoping it all would just come together missed the centralizing tenet needed to get players to go the extra mile for each other. They were just doing it for themselves before. Lindy simply commands respect and the players seem to be falling in line. Does this style of coaching have a timeline? Maybe, but who cares, get results
Still surprised to see Samuelsson play as much as he has with the amount of bone headed plays.
Cozens is lost, but there’s a glimmer of finding himself. Quinn is totally lost, who knows there. But I’ll take those two losses over the rest of the team stepping up. And this is with our fourth line being injured and rotating.
Tage and Tuch took a few games, but they’re in full confidence mode now and playing aggressive and that’s the only way they can play well. Whenever they get passive they overthink and fall apart and it’s great to see that disappear. This is tricky because Lindy loves the Alamo, but I don’t think these players can do that well. We need to adjust.
Giving Lindy til Thanksgiving until truly drawing any opinions, but I like what I see so far and I think it would’ve been naive to expect it overnight. He was a little defensive when asked about their pre season, but regardless it’s coming together and we aren’t miles out of the standings.

They finally looked in sync and competent until the empty net. Hope this isn’t a fluke and is a trend of the new coaching.
the veteran line got the most minutes. And they deserved it. Folks need to start calling them the second line. Maybe less paranoia if we think of Cozens as a really expensive 3C
surprised how little the 4th line got

Top line looking like a top line against the other teams top line.

McLeod for 2C

They look alright against a top team. Dahlin did a highlight play, he must read the message boards
-
He’s been asked to carry the load of 1D with Jokiharju as his partner when Jokiharju was a player many were willing to kick off the roster last year
plus he’s hurt

But the Pens are a team that needs to drop out of playoffs if we’re getting in

Cool that they woke up but that first half was still extremely worrying. High expectations
At least cooper rebounded phew

The collapse has just been so drastic for Allen. He can’t throw anything anymore

lol cooper drops perfect pass on first throw
C ursed

Levi hasn’t looked great so far this year. Okay but not great. Just keep rotating them til one decided to show up
-
Quinn still looks awful. Something is wrong but he doesn’t deserve to be gifted minutes figuring it out
Thimpson and Tuch woke up. Thankfully
Samuelsson needs benched I don’t care how much I hate Bryson

***** period but they clawed back. First line showed signs of life for once. PP making baby steps

Just watched the replay of the last Chicago goal....
Biggest problem was Samuelsson with the puck behind the net, he has time but just throws it around the boards into a 'gaggle' of players, including 2 blackhawsks. He was chased from behind and hit, and the guy that hit him took Samuelsson out of the play and then beat him up back to the boards.
So, the problem there was he made a lazy pass, and then got hit, and the smaller guy hit him, knocked him down, and then beat him to the skates to continue the play.
None of that would have mattered if Clifton controlled the puck, it looked like it came right to his stick but jumped over his stick...kinda bad luck.
Finally, Krebs kinda had the goal scorer tied up, but let him go for 1/2 second when Samuelsson got back into the play. Krebs released him 1/2 second before Samuelsson could pick him up, and he had just enough time to get the rebound.
To me that goal is 60% on Sameulsson, 20% on bad luck, 20% on UPL (for the rebound) and Krebs/Samuelsson again (for not deciding who should tie up the scorer)
Its really a hard goal to diagnose, even from 2 different angles and going frame by frame.
It’s mostly Samuelson who has looked like ***** so he gets no benefit of the doubt. He needs benched
-
4th goal was 100% Samuelsson deflection and not Levi’s fault
-
I want Dahlin to skate one down the ice and cut across the zone with a spin move to show these forwards what mojo is again. Also so he can find his own he needs it

If the knock on Cozens is low hockey IQ ever since concussion then having Kubel on his line would help enormously.
