    As much as Girgs enjoys being the vet one the team, I think he walks as an UFA.  His wife is from Pittsburgh, and they will need bottom six players. I also think he will maybe like Pitts chances to get to playoffs rather than a young Buffalo team.

    KO will probably be given one more year at a reduced salary around $2million.

    VO, Joker, and Bryson are the 3 players that need to be upgraded or at least be replaced with players that play a different style.

     

    Another rugged winger who can score 15-20 goals but hits everything in sight for VO.

    A steady stay at home RD for Power.  Mayfield, Schenn, or Severson are UFA's that KA should pursue. 

    I honestly think that UPL and Comrie would be ok if the defense in front of them was better.

    If he’s not back, it’s because he retired.

    Okposo will be signed for one more year at team friendly $1-2 million a year.  After this season he will be around 980 games.  Buffalo and Okposo will want to see him hit the 1000 NHL games mark.  I could definitely see them only playing him 40-50 games and the team having him around as a good vet depth guy.

    KA needs to recognize where the Sabres are this year and still make a push to get to the playoffs.  I get not wanting to mortgage the future for rentals, and I definitely don't want to see an overpayment by him to acquire some of the necessary pieces this teams needs and has needed all year.  

    1) A big physical forward who can be a presence on the ice, (Greenway, Crouse)

    2) A RD for Power or another stay at home LD for 3rd pair (Jensen, Shattenkirk, Nemeth, Seeler, Edmundson, Savard)

    3) Starting goaltender (Demko, Vejmelka, Korpisalo)

    KA needs that they need to reward the players this year and show that he is willing to make a move that will help them.   I get that they have a plan, but reward the team and the city!!

    If Jeanott got traded and we had the pieces equivalent to what Tampa gave up then I will start to doubt can make any improvements to team through trades or free agency.  If he want to build from with in that is fine, but sometimes you have to trade some of your future or current talent to get a player that is not like any other on your team.
