    Interesting idea...I'm still trying to understand what the request price is for Meier.  Fellow Swiss, Fiala, got a B prospect and firkstlast year for the Wild.  Fiala actually has better numbers than Meier.  I think Rosen and first should get him.

    Timo Meier- NJ, has played with Devils captain in homeland. Devils have cap space to signs extension.

    Erik Karlsson- Is not moved, San Jose looks to move him at draft. 

    Jacob Chychrun- Edmonton,  after failing to get Karlsson from San Jose Edmonton gets their defenseman.

    Brock Boeser- stays in Vancouver and is moved at draft.

    Patrick Kane- Colorado, he helps provide secondary scoring and doesn't have to be the man.

    Jesse Puljujarvi- young player involved in Chychrun trade with Arizona.

    Jonathan Toews- Winnipeg, provides depth at center.  Shouldn't cost too much.

    Vladislav Gavrikov- Washington makes surprise trade to stay in playoff hunt.

    John Klingberg- Seattle, brings more playoff experience 

    Tyler Bertuzzi- Dallas, hard nosed winger to play with Seguin

    Matt Dumba- Boston, gives them more defensive depth and won't cost much

    James Van Riemsdyk- Vegas, UFA to be can fill spot lost by Stone

    Luke Schenn- Buffalo, give-up Vegas 2nd rd pick.  Fills need, enough said.

    Max Domi- Nashville, more scoring needed. Give up Fabbro.

    Ivan Barbashev- Carolina, hard worker that will fit in nicely with Canes system

    With less than two months left in the season I figured I'd start a thread that we haven't seen in many years.

    So far today things looking good.

    Preds stomp Panthers

    Bruins crush Isles.

    Devils up on Pens.

     

    Tonight we need:

    Canes to beat Caps

    Kraken to eat some Wings.

  11. Timo Meier rumour - Sabres contact Sharks

    Again having so many young players with no playoff experience, the goal of this year should to get there if you are this close.  The Sabres have vets like Girls, Skinner, Thompson, Mitts, and Olofsson who have never tasted the playoffs.  

    I think the continual short bench in the 3rd periods of games lately with Quinn and JJP seeing limited ice time shows the need for another vet to play with Cozens, Meier fits that need.

    Acquiring Meier and Schenn puts this team into the playoffs!!!

    If KA stays the course and doesn't make any moves, they will miss the playoffs!

    I like the fact that Carolina played last night in Carolina and may have used a lotto energy in their comeback win.  Yes, they are 6-0-1 in 2nd games of back to back but 6 of those games were at home.  I expect Buffalo to come out fast and build a good lead. Just don't let off the gas and go into prevent mode.

    Sabres- 5

    Carolina- 3

    Olofsson, JJP, Skinner, Dahlin and Krebs with the goals.

     

    Also hoping that someone, or even Dahlin, steps up and challenges Kotkaniemi for his dirty hit and punch to the head of Dahlin during game in Carolina!!
