  1. I get it, but he is really really good. Add Dickinson, trade some of the lesser depth ahead of him to help depth elsewhere.
  2. If we can move Skinner without buying him out, I’d be ok with that. However, KA better have a plan then to find a scoring winger to go with the missing 2/3C.
  3. I’m a little surprised Dickinson isn’t getting any love. This is a terrific hockey player. I don’t think he gets to 11, but if he does, I can see him making Byram expendable in a couple of years. https://thehockeynews.com/news/sam-dickinson-vs-artyom-levshunov-who-would-you-choose-in-the-nhl-draft
  4. 4 goalies have already changed teams.
  5. It depends how many of the glut of forward prospects we trade to get the players we need. If we trade two of Savoie, Östlund, Kulich and Rosen, we would be wise to keep the 11th overall pick. In fact, that is the strategy to fix the NHL roster I’d prefer.
  6. I’d love to add Eiserman. I read recently that the issue with Cole is his skill set beyond scoring. I think it was Pronman who recently wrote that he originally thought Eiserman’s skills were elite beyond scoring, but now he think their just ok. I think the whole package is there, but team USA needs an elite scorer and he’s it.
  7. What are you talking about? We traded a 1st for Lehner and took back a contract. Lehrer was also injured when acquired. It was an awful trade then and time has not made it look better. It was a huge overpayment. We basically got nothing for taking back Legwand.
  8. …and that was one of his better trades.
  9. If the Devils make him available, Adams should try to be first in line.
  10. Celebrini is going no. 1, and while they may not be the next 4 picks, Demidov, Buium, Lindstrom and Levshunov aren’t going to be there at 11. However, I can see a scenario where every other highly rated prospect could be there at 11. That next group includes Catton, Parekh, Silayev, Yakemchuk, Sennecke, Dickinson, Eiserman, Iginla, Helenius, Brandsegg-Nygard, and Chernyshov and they could get drafted in any order. So who do you want and who do think Adams will draft at 11? Anyone else from my group of 11 names that you think there is no chance he’ll be available at 11?
  11. I’ll start. Apparently Ullmark, who has a 16 team NTC, also wants an extension before he accepts a trade. I would too if I was him.
  12. If you see an interesting trade & FA rumors, please post them here!
  13. Can we keep this thread to discuss actual transactions? I have started an NHL trade rumors thread.
  14. Nice player but I don’t think he plays with the tempo they are looking for. Be also is very good defensively or physical.
  15. Didn’t Adams say in the presser he is trying to re-sign both guys?
  16. What is the sound of a choking Panther? There are still Playboy clubs?
  17. Probably not, it’s more likely that in conversation they ranked Kulich and Östlund ahead of him, much like when Stl had Thomas, Kyrou and Thompson and Tage was the “3rd best.” However, it was funny to image Pronman making the call as I described.
  18. Depends on what other moves are made. In general sure, but not necessarily with Savoie, Rosen and Kulich already in the system. Trade a couple of those 3 prospects and I definitely consider making the deal for McGroarty.
  19. How does that conversation go. “Hi this is Corey, I know you’re busy right now, but can you tell me what you think of the Sabres’ prospect Matt Savoie?”
  20. The curse of the small forward. Pronman hates smaller forwards. He had Benson 17th on his 2023 board.
  21. More evidence that Adams does k ow what the hell he’s doing. So Adams traded away his most versatile forward, who he didn’t offer a contract to and who was his best was his best forward last season, creating a huge hole in his lineup that he couldn’t fill for a redundant defenseman who can’t play defense effectively and didn’t generate offense after the first few games. Sounds like a great trade.
  22. There is certainly a chance he does something positive, such as bringing in a 2/3c, but until he actually makes a intelligent move, I can’t see why anyone would have confidence he can get it done. Going through a presser admitting that you’re going to buyout Skinner while retaining Krebs and Joki doesn’t instill confidence that positive change is coming.
