  1. Sabres fans deserve a REAL team like the 2005-06 and 2006-07 teams were. So much talent. More importantly so much heart. Current teams severely lack both. That Sabres team won the presidents trophy that year and led the league in scoring. Adding anyone to our current team wouldn’t be close to the 2006-07 team. Be real.
  2. Yes. This team started the streak we are on now of missing the playoffs 14 of the last 18 seasons. Let that sink in. 14 of 18 seasons of suck since Hasek left.
  3. I’m sure it’s the same people who produced all the lousy alumni events this season as well. Interns running the ship at PSE
  4. Shocker they didn’t show the closing ceremonies. That was the best part of the night.
  5. Just imagine the offensive numbers that would have been put up in the 80s-90s if that didn’t exist back then?? Gretzky, Lemieux and others would have been putting up 100+ goals a year easily.
  6. Listen to the crowd. That’s what I miss most about old time Sabres hockey. It used to be exciting and the crowds were amazing, especially in the Aud. The current state of the franchise is just that much more depressing when hearing and seeing how good it used to be. Great memories.
  7. Yeah certainly better than Gurtler, but definitely wish this was RJ calling the game. It would be a whole different level of excitement.
  8. It’s amazing that those Sabres teams with Hawerchuk and LaFontaine never did anything in the playoffs. Two major superstars and we didn’t take advantage.
  9. It’s non stop every shift. I do remember the big time stars hating the amount of hooking.
  10. Yes John Gurtler. He was hard to listen to. Still does Bandits games I believe. Also, how was Mogilny captain over Hawerchuk, in place of LaFontaine? Very strange. I had moved away from Buffalo by that point so I don’t remember the reasoning at the time.
  11. Good advice. Or better yet some shouldn’t say idiotic things period.
  12. Exactly. Same here. Been going since 1975. Don’t you love being lectured by someone who lacks the overall view and experience of being a life long Sabres fan over generations and seeing what good and bad hockey looks like? A lot of us have seen the good bad and ugly of this franchise. And we know when things are in the gutter, such as they’ve been for nine years running now.
  13. Any stars on this team are a direct result of a terrible finish the year before. We haven’t had good management or scouting in years and years. Zero development going on. No diamonds in the rough from later rounds other than Olaffson. This franchise has done just about every conceivable thing wrong and franchise can do the past 9 years. And there are no disputing the facts and results and I’m glad the real fans are getting pissed. The only thing better would be a half empty arena to further embarrass the Pegulas into getting their act straight. But sadly I know that won’t happen here.
  14. We got our all star center and defenseman from finishing DEAD last in the NHL numerous times the past 5 years. Lol Not a very good point to try and bring up when discussing the utter failures of the worst franchise in the league.
  15. Exactly. Fans needing patience and the ill conceived theory that Sabres fans not being “good” fans has anything to do with the current state of this sorry franchise the past 9 years are two topics that get brought up just a little too often around here. Fans have every right to be pissed off and question EVERY single thing this franchise, ownership and management does.
  16. Sadly I think Dunleavy is the anointed one
  17. Dan Dunleavy is SOO annoying. And horrible as play by play. God I’ll miss RJ.
  18. Not nearly an important enough reason. Would it affect our playoff position? Lol NOOOOO
  19. This game is a perfect example of a team that knows how to win vs a team that has no clue how to win.
  20. Ralph isn’t smart enough apparently
  21. Same here. My family had season tickets in the 2nd from top row of the Blues from 1978-1983. I remember the scoreboard tvs and the confined feeling you had with the cement ceiling right above you. Especially in those top two rows of the Blues. Good times. Loved the Aud
  22. That’s actually been their problem for years now.
  23. Johansson has ZERO offensive aptitude. He brings nothing offensively
