My reference is a comparison of the video of Dahlin arriving in Buffalo compared to the one of Jack arriving at a Vegas strip hotel.   Totally different and that’s ok.  They are different places.

Vegas has had a team for what, 4 years?   All winning seasons too.  Hard to claim die hard status in that short of a time period. Die hard implies through winning and losing, the good and the bad, for a long time.

Everything is relative, to you diehard may be that but to some it may just be that you literally fell in love with the sport. I agree its only been what 4 years? yea, and that that doesnt make up for 50 years of misery in Sabres history since this club have not mastered with winnning one single cup which is kinda pathetic, but it had some good years indeed. So compared to that and 4 years in vegas, sure, but it still does not make you a more diehard fan than anyother in my opinion, youve just been it a longer time.

Don't think too many of us went bananas. Actually this is what most expected. Young prospects learning to play at this level. Hopefully they develop in time but this year don't expect much in the way of winning against most teams.

Yea that's why i said some.

Seen this over and over and it never seam to change, its like people trying to defend their own hope i guess?
Reality is so different, i can tell 100% this team aint reaching playoffs this year either, but yet some still believed that just a couple of games ago, Donny is "probably" the best coach we've had and the story continues..

This team isnt playing playoff in atleast 2-3 years maybe and i guess that is a "truth" that is to hard to handle for some when hope is so strong.

And YOU make no mistake about this.  If the  Sabres were nearly as competitive as the Knights our crowd would be back at games.    The “plenty of fans in Vegas” didn’t show up.  They will go to the games and party, it’s a hot ticket that has known only success.  Still a fun novelty.   Big population that makes an average of $25,000 more than a Buffalo household on average.  The  Vegas Team created a nice  welcome for Jack.   Very nice.   When Jack and Dahlin came to Buffalo they were met by real hockey fans, and 5hey went out into the City and meet people - cops, fireman, nurses, schools, hospitals.  Maybe not as exciting as showgirls, mascots, drummers and limo tours of the Sin City Strip.

I am just saying there were no fans there, fans that wear jerseys and live for the team, just workers from the hotel and PR Department.

If i may comment on this conversation
What are your references to this ? your own personal thoughts?

I mean i feel it's kinda stupid to say that Vegas doesnt have die hard fans, i became a diehard fan for Buffalo Sabres within a year and im from Sweden.
I'm pretty sure there are cops, firemen, nurses, hospitals and schools that are very proud to be a knights fan in Vegas aswell, the only
difference is that Buffalo does not have showgirls (except @Taro T and @dudacek)

I can respect that, MODO. Although I think you could drop the greatest coach in the history of the game behind bench of this current group, and he would struggle mightily. Sooner or later, talent MUST trump heart, hustle, and strategy.

Regardless, it’s nice to be able to respond to a MODO post and I hope you’re doing well.

No i wont, because i know its true.  This org has hired more coaches in the last decade than you changed underwear. This org is pathetic to say the least, we just see things different.

    Cheers bud.

Per the bold, do you feel this was for lack of trying? Because three coaches, three GMs, and a boatload of additions and subtractions to the roster while he was here certainly suggests they tried like hell to get him the tools.

They turned out to be the wrong tools, but nobody could know that except with the luxury of retrospect.

Lack of trying no, lack of experiance yes, lack of common sense yes.

I agree 100% that they gave him 3 coaches, 2 of them absolute trash, to be precise. Who knows, i sure as hell dont, but i would figure that if we had a coach that could actually coach then this would never been a problem, but im just a spectator in this mess with my own experiance and media as knowledge book.

Jack is a sensational player, one of the very best i've ever seen playing on this level with everything against him. This org doesnt know how to hire a coach, that is obvious. We win some games and people think don is a great coach, he might actually be the best coach so far but im not convinced and will probably never be. There is no chance that this team reaches playoff and people that believe that is bloody stupid, that is my firm belief. I've said it so many times, until this org hires a real coach things will never ever change.

    You don't like the trade?

Some things is obviously not ment to be regarding this team, but to me this whole thing with Jack is a diaster deluxe. So no, i dont like the trade at all. And that has nothing to do with what Sabres got back, it's about that Sabres just lost the most talanted player they had for a very long time. Speculating is the only thing possible here, and i firmly believe that Jack wanted this to much and Sabres never gave him the oportunity and the tools he needed to succeed as a generational talant.

If he gets healthy im pretty sure he will bring the cup home to vegas and for his sake i really hope so, i just feel grumpy over this trade, we gonna see yet another season without playoffs and jack will most likely play his first.

Without naming names, and I've said this before, I regularly skate with some Ducks and Kings alumni, a few of which remain employed by their respective franchises.    However, in this case, the source is a current NHL head coach (not Ducks or Kings) who I've known personally for the past 10 years or so.      I'll leave it at that.   You can probably figure it out looking at my post history.

And here you are poking me saying you cannot read. Jesus, your pathetic.

FWIW one of my sources says he expects something to happen w/ Eichel over the next 48 hours.    He's been quiet thus far on the topic, which is why it caught my attention.

That said, I still don't think anything happens until we get closer to mid-August and all the FA dust has settled.

Is your sources twitter? we're all ears

Thanks for informing us you won't be a fan anymore. Enjoy following the Bruins. Buh-bye. We'll try to get along without you.

Seams to me there is more than one that cannot read properly, lol. No need to be sarcastic.

Please explain what in this tweet makes you say that? To me Kevyn Adams is holding his ground against those who want him to give Eichel up for nothing. Frankly I don't care about Eichel's frustration or other teams low-ball offers.

The fact that you have not come to realise that this org has missed out on playoffs in over a decade now makes me wonder if you are for real?

"..I will never forgive them for what they did with Linus (this is personal)"

    Seriously?

They drafted him, developed him, gave him a career in hockey.   They also gave him carte blanche to mourn the passing of his father last season and offered him a contract to be their starter,  which he turned down for a division rival.

As i said, if you could ever learn to read properly it has nothing to do with what you think because you dont know what i know. What u know is official news that youve been feed by the media. Jesus, go have a beer. Bon voyage

Nah... Ullmark can't stay healthy.    And I, for one, was never a fan of his post-game attitude, always came off as stand-offish, condescending in his post game pressers...kinda a douche TBH.

And sabres cant win jack sh1t, so its a win win. Watch Linus own u next season 40+ games, ill tag u with this post then.

I know Linus personally and he is no douche, u are.
