Suggest a date and time and we can see what we can do.
The downside to keepers...since there is no financial incentive, and there is some turnover every year, a new owner may end inheriting crap when it comes to keepers. I would say no to keepers, but if you want to change things up a bit, what about an auction draft?
I have never done a keeper league, I would think the option would be to keep a maximum amount of players, say 60% of a roster and not more than two of any one position.
In a keeper league, I would think the draft the following year would have to be based on standings.

Realistically, we are looking at 0-4 including 0-3 in Conference and 0-2 in the Division. I just don't see the Bills wining 8 out of 12. Not with this coaching staff.
Is the blown time out on that ridiculous cadence play Rex Ryan's "4th and stupid." I can't imagine there is a coaching staff out there that is worse at time management than the Bills coaching staff. Simms and Nance hit it right on the head. 4 minutes and down by two scores and this offence has no urgency, taking 20-25 seconds to line up and run a play. Don't they practice 2 minute drills?

A keeper league is a great idea; PROVIDED there is a full draft this year. Player selection last year would have been significantly different had there been thoughts that the players on the teams last year would become the core of this year's teams.
We could make Gold a keeper league going forward. Thoughts Gold owners?

I like the idea of a keeper league. A keeper league than determine draft order based on last season standings? That would make things interesting.

After that penalty on the field goal, there is no reason for 94 Worthy to still be on the roster tomorrow morning. A message needs to be sent, it should have been sent last season.

Can someone explain the value of Jerry Hughes and does it exceed the negative value of his weekly boneheaded personal foul penalties?
I can rag on the Bills play calling, 3rd and 16 and you have two receivers next to each other two yards from the line of scrimmage?
More penalty yards than passing yards in the 4th quarter? Wasted timeouts?
Is this a replay of 2015?
A QB is basically only as good as his line. Buffalo's line is terrible. What do you expect?
Sometimes a QB is only as good as his own talent. The poor QB play is on the QB today.

I get the argument, but you know a lot coaches and GMs don't look at PMs as a negative.
I think it depends on the type of penalty taken. A 5 min major for fighting is likely looked at differently than a 5 min major for high sticking.
If we were to add another category I would vote for +/- over penalties.
Also,
Thought I would suggest maybe starting 1 goalie over the standard 2? And what are the thoughts of simply 6 forward positions (not broken up by C.RW & LW) or least lumping the wingers together. We don't draft left and right defensemen.
Ideally:
6 forwards or 2 centers & 4 wingers
4 defensmen
2 utility
1 goalie
with 2 bench spots

Fantasy teams. And I don't see how that gives a category win to the worse goalie. If anything it forces a tie. Your good goalie performed better against less shots and would win on SV%, but the worse goalie faced more shots. Those two categories wash out. Which is my intention. When it comes to goalies that are good vs. goalies who are bad, at the end of the day we're all required to start goalies regardless of whether or not they or their team sucks. We can pick and choose our skaters, but goalies are not optional. We have to start them even if they're awful.
In theory, the goalie facing less shots, and having the better SV% will probably have a better win/loss record because they'll be on a better team. The good goalies would still be favored. But I think even average/bad goalies need to be given a fighting chance to at least win one category, and that's shots faced.

I am in for Gold. If you have two teams drop out, I would go with 12 versus adding two replacements. In a league where you are allowed to start two goalies, 14 teams are too many. Also, I would drop one of the goalie categories(I would drop saves or save percentage. No need for both) You have 11 scoring categories, and 5 goalie categories, where the lineup consists of 11 skaters and only 2 goalies.
The 12 team cap seems to be the popular opinion. So, we will cap at 12 teams this season.
Also,
I removed 'Saves' from the goaltender scoring.
What are the thoughts on +/- and GWGs?

I renewed all the Gold teams from last year. I made the suggested scoring changes. Right now we have 14 teams. If a couple dropout I can cap at 12 if all are agreed.

Romo out again, 6-10 weeks projected. What's worse than not having a QB, having a really good QB who is stuck on the sidelines. Any playoff chance the Cowboys had is now gone, even in that weak division.
The Buffalo Bills are making the playoffs. 10-6. Suck it, haters.
10-6 was a long shot even at 100 % healthy. Right now 6-7 wins seems fair if the offense plays really well. I have zero faith that Ryan can get this defense anywhere near what it would need to be to make the playoffs.

Saw Suicide Squad Saturday morning and I will say I left the theater disappointed. I had high hopes for the movie and it didn't come close to deliver. If you have seen the trailer you have seen all the good parts of the movie. Actually, the trailer seems more well thought out than the movie. Leto's Joker portrayal is my least favorite Joker portrayal of all-time. It's a toss up between Leto's Joker and Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luther as to which is the worst big-screen adaptation of an iconic villain. And this is with Jamie Foxx's version of Electro on the books. There were two saving graces. One, the soundtrack is good. Two, Harley Quinn. They might have been better off just making a HQ movie, she is the only interesting character in the movie and I though the actress did a really good job. I wish they had a better a better Joker because I just wasn't feeling it. I had to keep reminding myself that Leto was supposed to be the Joker.
I hope the upcoming Wonder Woman and Justice League movies do well, right now I have been less the impressed with this new wave of the DC universe. Which is a shame because of all of the iconic characters the DC Universe has to offer. The Batman video games may be some of the best video games ever produced, they just need to somehow capture some of that success and transfer it to the big screen.
I forgot to mention Will Smith as Deadshot, which should tell you all you need to know about how I felt about Will Smith as Deadshot.

I truly believe that Greg Roman was fired because he was the only realistic mid-season head coach replacement if the Pegula's decided to make an in season change. Rex was trying to ensure he gets the entire season after one of the most embarrassing defensive performances in Bills history. It's been a while since I've seen a Bills head coach out-coached as badly as Rex was on Thursday.
