  1. Don't apologize, you're certainly not off in left-field thinking those guys are JAG. McGinn seems to have a better chance of sticking, but I don't think Foligno quite has it. Still, that run with Ennis and Stafford is tantalizing if he could put that magic back together.

No need to apologize for a reasonable opinion just because people are disagreeing w/ it.

Thanks guys. Just didn't want to be the Debbie downer guy. It's just we have seen what those two have to offer and IMO its not much. I'm just ready for the influx of youth. Can't wait to see Hudson and Bailey in blue and gold. IMO Foligno on Jack's line is a waste and might even be a negative to Jack's development. Much rather see Larsson on his wing.

  2. Those seem like the logical ones to me with the current roster, and each line scored a goal last night. How would you line them up differently? The only one I could see would be swapping Kane and McGinn, but ROR and McGinn generally play pretty well together.

Agree switch Kane and Mcginn. Also would flip Foligno and Gionta. Then put the two JAGS on the third line.

  3. Sorry, but McGinn is just a JAG. If that is the skill level of a player you want in a top six then this team will never make the playoffs. IMO we already have two players on this team who provide the same talent/skill that Mcginn does in Foligno and Nic44 and in all honesty all three can be traded for all I care.

  4. Personally, I like Puljujarvi. Then again, I'm really not the draft expert. That's Crusader, Hoss, and Liger, to name a few[/quote

Puljujarvi is my personal choice for this draft if I'm not drating first. Really both of the Finns are built to play on Jack's wing. The one thing I find interesting is how similar Patrick Kane and Patrick Laine' s sound. Maybe its fate we get Laine just because of the name similarity.

  5. Well said

And, as nfreeman says, it's really McDavid that tips the scales here. Here's the real question

McDavid + Reinhart or Ekblad + Eichel?

Thats a good question right there, but of course McD with Rhino feeding him on the wing. But what do you guys think of Eichel with Bennett as his winger? That one could of been dangerous.

  6. I like it, I like it a lot. My burning hatred for Gionta has me switching him with Foligno though

I'm ok with that. Foligno has been good lately. Does anybody know why Gionta is taking so many faceoffs? With all the centers on this team it just seems counterproductive.

  7. I hate what has been going on with these lines, since the beginning of the season. It's actually pretty easy to put together four lines.

    Moulson/O'Reilly/Reinhart

    Gus/Eichel/Ennis

    Mcginn/Larsson/Gionta

    Nick/Legwand/Foligno

    That's how you do it.

  8. According to the Internet Crosby and Ovechkin weren't in NHL 06 until roster updates were put in. A Reddit thread said he finished the final roster update as an 87 and was a 91 in NHL 07's release.

Most said he was a mid/low 80s player when first added. So probably right in the McDavid range.

Hmmm, thats interesting. Thanks for looking that up. Makes me wonder why they have Samson' s numbers at 74. I was thinking more like 77-79.
