OMG I know he’s a multibillionaire and he doesn’t “need the money”. Ever hear of resource allocation or portfolio management. Several years ago he knew he would need to build a multibillion dollar stadium for the Bills which was the most successful business for him. In my opinion, that’s why he was cutting cost of the Sabres and got rid of PSE along with his music management endeavors. That’s the only explanation I can think of as to why he would cut costs so severely with the Sabres.

That’s a good breakdown especially with the team being one of the youngest for a decade. Amazed on how many people, still to this day, defend the Sabres being young. I now see why Adams is very reluctant to trade his young players. He is betting that they will all develop into the players they are predicted to be. He sees many of the other young players they have traded have hit their stride not long after the trades. He is willing to wait for years till they all finally develop. Every year he hopes, this is the year they all start putting it together 🤞. He knows there is no help coming. He knows they have to develop into a legit NHL contender organically. Most other players in the league have the Sabres in their NTC. I also feel that the NTC is what is now holding the team down and there will be a push by owners to restrict it. You can have all the picks and young talent in the world, if you can’t use that as trade capital because players refuse the move, what’s the point? I’m trying to not make excuses for the inept leadership but I do see what their ineptitude has created. Except Pegula doesn’t have a teenager making player decisions based madden. 🤷‍♂️😂

I think it’s funny that you both think evaluations and net worth means that Terry just money laying around. a large amount of his money is tied up in both franchises along with other investments.

I don’t necessarily believe they are 100% video scouting but somewhat a hybrid model which, I bet, many teams use also.

My understanding, he’s up to $500 million over for the new stadium. Just because he’s worth 12 billion doesn’t mean he has immediate access to it.

I agree 100% with the highlights. This is a hobby for Terry that he can’t spend too much on because of his primary franchise needing every penny he had. Hopefully the money from the new Bills minority owners will ease Terry’s pocketbook so he can invest a little more into the Sabres.
