You do realize he was only captain the last two seasons, right? Also he can only do so much as a captain. He can’t punish players for acting like children. That’s the coaches job. The only way to understand if he was truly a good captain or even a veteran mentor is by having conversations with his teammates. what we can judge him on is what was talked about earlier, the love he has for WNY, his willingness to be open in interviews throughout the hell he’s had to endure with this team, and working his ass off no matter what job he was given or how bad the team was. who knows what happens to him on Friday but he is still the captain of this team right now and he will play like it. I have a lot of respect for him.

Thats on coaching and management. They are sticking with the previous “new” NHL with all skilled fast players and no really strong hard to play against players. It looks like teams realized that isn’t the best direction and have started to get strong players that make you earn everything.

It’s not necessarily if Adams wants to part with the prospects. You have to have players/teams willing to partner with the Sabres. As we seen with Kane and now Tanev, players don’t want to come to Buffalo. I would guess that is the wall Adams keeps running into vs him not willing to part with players

I loved to see two defensemen (one who will be paid 11 million dollars next season) flanking the Tampa player and letting him just hang out to score. Very cordial of them

Honestly I don’t mind DG saying something. The refs have been horrible this whole season. Remember in the earlier in the season they were giving out unsportsmanlike like candy because the players were calling out the ***** calls. this game was over at 2-1 anyway
