What will be the Sabres approach at the trade deadline?

True. No doubt the off season is the time to work trades. Weβll see what happens in the summer -

Sounds like that is the plan. What the plan next season when theyβre out of it in March? Honestly I donβt disagree with Adams on this. We all know he needs league roster players. The problem is, he has a very hard getting these players who βwant to be a Buffalo Sabreβ and willing to buy in on whatever his plan is. This is a requirement for Adams. -

Adams basically said that for this season and look at where they are. The answer is in the room π -
my idea of near term is months to a couple years. When he cut costs he didnβt have the Bills investors and was funding it all himself (the overrun). Iβm sure he was expecting to not recoup that money for years. Now that he has the investors, that should ease his burden tremendously. Iβm hoping (not holding my breath) that he starts to invest more money into the Sabres now that he isnβt funding both teams completely out of his own pocket.

Why do you think it was about near term finances? Iβm convinced that the cost cutting was because Terry was planning the new stadium and needed all the cash he can get. Heβs on the hook for the $500 million dollar plus overrun. Obviously the new investors will help ease that burden but thatβs one hell of a hit even for someone like Terry. basically robbing Peter to pay Paul.
